Antigua Guatemala is een stad die ooit de hoofdstad van het hele Midden-Amerika was. In deze tour reis je terug in de tijd naar de XV tot XVII eeuw, met zijn geplaveide straten, katholieke kerken en kloosters, unieke monumenten en gastronomie. Vandaag genieten we van al dat erfgoed, doe mee.

We beginnen deze ervaring vanuit uw hotel in Guatemala-Stad. Dus blijf zitten en geniet van het uitzicht vanuit de stad tot we aankomen in Antigua Guatemala.
Deze heuvel is de perfecte plek om onze tour in Antigua Guatemala te beginnen. We wandelen ongeveer 15 minuten omhoog om een geweldig vogelperspectief op de stad te krijgen, omringd door 3 prachtige vulkanen. Goede fysieke conditie is vereist, anders starten we onze tour vanuit de kerk van La Merced.
Dit is een prachtige gele kerk en het beste voorbeeld van barokke Guatemalteekse architectuur. De kerk uit de 18e eeuw is een van de mooiste in Antigua Guatemala. Het is omgeven door een prachtige tuin, handwerkverkoop en geweldige cafés die authentieke "Antigüeño" -koffie (koffie uit Antigua Guatemala) aanbieden met chocoladetonen vanwege het brandproces.
We gaan verder naar het beroemdste punt in Antigua Guatemala: The Arch Street, waar de Santa Catalina Arch zich bevindt. Deze plaats is het symbool van Antigua geworden en de centrale afbeelding op de meeste ansichtkaarten. In zijn oorsprong werd deze boog gebouwd door het Santa Catarina Mártir-klooster in 1693. Cancelled at almost 10pm the night before… and only communication via the app (which does not prompt a notification) instead of sending a direct WhatsApp message. Poor customer service because there was no opportunity to book anno tour for the day. Didn’t ask to reschedule - did provide a refund.
