Antigua ATV-dorpen Tour
Beschrijving
Deze tour neemt je mee door de hele vallei en bezoekt meer dan 5 dorpen in de buurt van of rond Centraal Antigua. We bezoeken plaatsen zoals een lokaal traditioneel textielmuseum, Jade Factory, een chocoladefabriek, en bezoeken de eerste kathedraal gebouwd in Midden-Amerika in het jaar 1534. Je hebt veel luchtfoto's van de stad, vogelperspectief van de vulkanen en een nauwe ontmoeting met lokale Maya-dorpelingen die rond Antigua wonen. Je rijdt door de geplaveide straten en verharde wegen. Om de tour af te ronden, bezoek je een lokaal restaurant in het dorp San Pedro El Panorama dat Guatemalteekse gerechten serveert.

Het ontmoetingspunt voor de tour is op ons kantoor, hier tekenen we uw contract, geven u uw helm en geven we uitleg over de quad.
We stoppen bij een lokale chocoladefabriek in dit kleurrijke stadje aan de voet van de Agua-vulkaan. Tijdens deze stop bezoeken we ook een lokale wijnwinkel die wijnen verkoopt die zijn gemaakt van een lokaal fruit genaamd 'Nispero'.
Hier parkeren we bij de Plaza en bezoeken een plaatselijke jadewinkel. In de fabriek worden ons de processen getoond die nodig zijn om ruwe jadestenen om te zetten in fijne sieraden. In de fabriek bevindt zich een kleine winkel waar we een selectie eindproducten kunnen zien, zoals 'Nahuales', verwerkt tot kettingen, armbanden en zelfs sleutelhangers.
We parkeren bij het centrale plein en kunnen erheen lopen en de eerste kathedraal bezoeken die in het jaar 1534 in Midden-Amerika werd gebouwd. Na een kleine wandeling over het plein komen we aan bij de lokale markt en terwijl we daar zijn, wordt ons getoond hoe we tortilla's zoals de lokale bevolking. De tour brengt ons naar San Antonio Aguas Calientes, je krijgt het textielmuseum en de markt te zien. Deze halte biedt een aantal van de beste uitzichten op de vulkaan Fuego en Acatenango vanwege de nabijheid van dit kleine ambachtelijke stadje.
De tour eindigt weer bij ons kantoor.

Although you visit 4 points on a TV and that is good, there is a lack of information about each town and its culture. They are specific stops at particular places in each town. It is not bad, but it was not what I expected.

We had an amazing experience exploring the villages in and around Antigua. It was easy to book our experience and start our adventure. Driving the ATVs was easy and a great way to get around! Jonny's experience was evident in everything he did, whether it was navigating the streets or sharing historical/cultural information. We would book another experience with Jonny in a heartbeat and highly recommended this adventure!
I loved it! If you are staying for a few days, it is a good tour to specifically get to know important sites for Guatemalan culture. The guide was very friendly and always attentive to the group's safety.

It was my first ATV drive. I did a group Antigua ATV Villages Tour. I had a wonderful time exploring the towns. Our guide, Ethan, was wonderful, ensuring we stayed together and felt comfortable. We had a truly wonderful experience with Daryl. He was very knowledgeable and informed and we learned a lot about the small towns we visited. He was also so patient and easy going with us as I spent lots of time shopping at the different spots. I was initially scared about driving ATVs around but I’m so glad we did this. Visiting the small towns was a great way to immerse ourselves in the culture.
