Reisroute

Isaac was a great tour guide! Oodles of knowledge about the area, in addition to interesting facts about cuisine. The restaurant and patisserie he took us to were outstanding.
This was a great tour. Our guide, Isaac, was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The food that we tried was delicious and learning about everything that we tried was really great. We not only learned about the food and wine, but also about the history of the area. Very interesting. I'd definitely recommend this tour and this guide.
Delphine was upbeat and provided great insider knowledge as a local guide. Bring your appetite, lunch was hearty and delicious!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Delphine is a delight; she does an excellent job of sharing the history of Annecy in between delicious culinary experiences. We did this tour on our first full day and it is a great way to get the lay of the land. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food, a leisurely stroll, and a bit of history.
Tour guide was nice enough but this was his first tour. He was not prepared and had to read from notes to give us history on Annecy as we walked. After a while he just stopped even reading his notes and really did not give us any information. At one stop he put his notes on the table and we were able to read them and they were very informative it would have been nice to have heard. Again he was nice enough but this being his first story you really did not provide a lot of information. The truffle shop and the formagerie were really informative. The food tour was good and a couple of the shops provided a lot of information. The tour was ok and food was good. I would have liked to get more info on the tour rather than just a chaperone walking us from shop to shop
Hello, Thank you for your review, we always care about our guests feedback and we will use it to improve our experience. We're glad you enjoyed the food and drinks selection, as well as the company of our partners and Local Expert. We understand it was indeed his first tour with us, so probably he could have felt a little nervous about his debut and prefered having his notes with him. We would like to assure you that we care a lot about our recruitement process and we will have a follow up with him to understand if something went wrong during the preparation. Again, thank you for your review and we apologize if the experience didn't match your expectations. Kind regards
Very good from start to finish a very enjoyable and informative tour and a great guide
Isaac was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and knew a lot about the history of Annecy as well as his background knowledge from travelling. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. Our favourite food was the tartefillte and truffle tastings.
We had a fantastic food tour of Annecy with Isaac and couldn’t recommend him more highly. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. We sampled an incredible range of local specialties, including exceptional cheeses from one of Annecy’s best fromageries, delicious truffles, a wonderful traditional lunch, locally made jams and beautiful French pastries to finish. Isaac also shared great insights into the history and culture of Annecy, along with plenty of recommendations for the rest of our stay. A perfect experience for anyone wanting to discover the authentic flavours of the region. Thank you, Isaac!
We had a fun and delicious food tour in Annecy with Maria of Do Eat Better. I learned a lot on our first stop about truffles and truffle products. During this stop, another food tour guest suffered a medical emergency; our guide and the shopkeeper both stayed calm and an ambulance arrived quickly. Once healthcare professionals arrived, our guide next took us to our next stop: lunch, which was a traditional Savoyard dish - tartiflette - cheesy potatoes with ham/bacon - delicious and very filling - with a green salad - much more food than I expected and my only regret was I couldn’t finish it all! We went on to a fantastic cheese shop for a tasting led by a very knowledgeable cheese expert. We finished the tour at a patisserie for luscious desserts. Throughout, Maria provided a lot of information and stories about Annecy and the region, making sure we walked through much of the old town to really enjoy the history and charm of this beautiful town. She followed up with written info after the tour. Maria was terrific and we loved our walking food tour - lots of steps to balance all the delicious foods we enjoyed!
I joined the group for the food tour on the bridge of love and that described the tour perfectly. Isaac was a fabulous guide, sharing lots of history as we walked around beautiful Annecy. We started with a Fromagerie, the cheese selection was huge and a treat for the eyes. Our tasting selection was gorgeous, completed with a local wine. Lunch was a local dish, tartiflette. It was rich and unkcious washed down with a glass of white. Then came chocolate treats and finally a French patisserie. Each step we learned the history of Annecy from Isaac, its delicacies and its beautiful surroundings made it an extra special experience for me. Don't hesitate go book it.
