Giovanni was a great guide and knows his history! The image book was a great touch to fully understand the tour.
My husband and I booked this walking tour as part of a short visit to Amsterdam. We were pleased to see that there were only about 12 people on our tour as this made it easier to hear our guide when we stopped at a point of interest. It was also better for keeping everyone together when we walked in some of the busier parts of the city during the second half of the tour. Katrien was our guide and we were very impressed with her knowledge and the way she delivered the story of Anne Frank, her family and the people who helped them. We felt we learned a lot on the tour. A real highlight of the walk was the visit to the National Holocaust Names Memorial, designed by the same architect who designed the New York World Trade Center memorial. We both felt it was such a great design, simply but beautifully done and very immersive. Reading through some of the names on the bricks and seeing what ages they were when they died was very moving. The tour ended outside the Anne Frank house with a brief stop to see the statue of Anne Frank next to the church. Entrance to the house is NOT part of the tour but we had been fortunate enough to secure tickets to the house for later in the afternoon. The information that Katrien had given us on the tour really helped our understanding during our visit to the house later. One minor point is that there was no initial briefing when the walk started eg to confirm that the walk would be two hours long with no opportunity for a comfort break of any sort. On similar tours in other cities we have been told at the start whether or not a break will be provided so that we could plan accordingly.
Edwin was our tour guide and he is excellent.
Edwin was our tour guide and it was awesome.
Very knowledgeable and very good presentation skills by Rebecca! She gave an extended tour, which was out of the norm.
Genevieve was a brilliant guide. She was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged the whole time.
Our Guide was awesome. He was very informative kind and smart. Best we ever had!!!
Ollie was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history of the Jewish quarter and the story of Anne Frank with intelligence, reverence and sensitivity. He was a wonderful guide and I would highly recommend this tour.
Hard to understate the emotional impact of this tour. I would never discourage anyone from taking this tour of Amsterdam’s Jewish quarter and its tragic history, but if you’re looking for “a little light sightseeing,” this might not be the tour for you. But if you want an intense, in-depth and expert dive into the history of Amsterdam and one of its most famous residents (Anne Frank), Manuel’s tour is an absolute must. You will learn more from Manuel in two hours than a semester of text books. Simply outstanding. But make sure you get Manuel. With respect to other guides (also good, I’m sure), I very much doubt any are even close to his passion and understanding of this topic. Very highly recommended.
Dear customer, We appreciate your kind words and your interesting review. We are happy to see that you enjoyed our tour and that our provided information was interesting and compelling. Kind regards, 360 Amsterdam
A lot of information, probably available via AI. Would rather have walked to more sites and less standing. Sometimes difficult to hear guide
