Angkor Wat is een tempel in Cambodja en is het grootste religieuze monument ter wereld. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd als een hindoetempel gewijd aan de god Vishnu voor het Khmer-rijk door koning Suryavarman II in de 12e eeuw, werd het geleidelijk omgevormd tot een boeddhistische tempel en aan het einde van de eeuw; als zodanig wordt het ook beschreven als een "hindoe-boeddhist"
De South Gate van Angkor Thom is de beroemdste tempel in het Angkor Archaeological Park en mag je niet missen. Gelegen naast Baksei Chamkrong, maar je kunt er nog steeds doorheen rijden of lopen.
Bayon is een prachtige tempel gerelateerd aan het boeddhisme in Angkor in Cambodja. Gebouwd in de late 12e of vroege 13e eeuw als de staatstempel van koning Jayavarman VII. Bayon ligt in het centrum van Angkor Thom.
Thommanon is een hindoeïstische tempel gebouwd tijdens het bewind van Suryavarman II in Angkor, Cambodja. Deze prachtige kleine tempel ligt ten oosten van de poort van Angkor Thom en ten noorden van de Chau Say Tevoda-tempel.
Ta Prohm (Jungle-tempel) is de beroemde "Tomb Raider-tempel" die wordt gebruikt in de film van Angelina Jolie. Er is een geweldige boom die bovenop een tempel groeit. Mis deze tempel niet.
Banteay Kdei is een boeddhistische tempel in Angkor, Cambodja. Het ligt ten zuidoosten van Ta Prohm en ten oosten van Angkor Thom. het is in de stijl van Bayon-architectuur, zoals de ontwerpen van Ta Prohm en Preah Khan, maar het wordt steeds kleiner. De boomwortels bij Banteay Kdei zijn absoluut enorm en ze nemen de controle over de gebouwen over.
Ta Keo Tempel is een opvallende tempel in bergstijl in het Angkor complex, gebouwd in de late 10e-begin 11e eeuw tijdens de regering van koning Jayavarman V. Gewijd aan de hindoegod Shiva, is het beroemd om zijn massieve zandstenen blokken en bijna volledig onversierde muren, waardoor het een krachtig en onvoltooid uiterlijk heeft. Bezoekers kunnen de steile trappen naar de top beklimmen voor een panoramisch uitzicht op de omliggende jungle en de nabijgelegen Angkor-tempels, waardoor het een favoriete stop is voor avontuurlijke reizigers.

I had a really good time on this tour. Angkor Wat looked amazing, especially in the morning when it was calm and less crowded. Ta Prohm felt very unique with the big trees around the ruins, giving it a natural and peaceful vibe. The whole trip was well organized and everything went smoothly. It was a very nice and relaxing experience.

This tour turned out to be one of the best parts of my trip. Seeing Angkor Wat up close was incredible, especially in the calm of the morning, and Ta Prohm had such a unique, almost mysterious vibe with nature taking over the ruins.
