De tempels van Angkor zijn op zichzelf al beroemd, ook al is Angkor Wat's status als 's werelds grootste tempel vaak het eerste waar mensen aan denken. Angkor Wat is het grootste religieuze monument ter wereld en de beroemdste zonsopgang ter wereld. Het is een verbazingwekkend groot en ambitieus complex dat de kracht en majesteit van de oude Angkor-beschaving symboliseert.
Ta Prohm is een pittoreske en aantrekkelijke ruïne, gedeeltelijk heroverd door de jungle. Het staat ook bekend als 'de Tomb Raider-tempel', beroemd gemaakt door Angelina Jolie in de film uit 2001.
Ta Keo is nooit afgemaakt en heeft als zodanig een heel ander aspect dan de meeste Angkor-tempels. De vierkante, gelaagde piramidevorm maakt het een van de meer dramatische plekken op de tour en het beklimmen van de terrassen biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de jungle.
Angkor Thom was de laatste hoofdstad van het Angkor-rijk. De weg voert ons door de beroemde South Gate, omzoomd met goden en demonen opgesloten in een eeuwig touwtrekken. De tempel van Bayon in het midden van de site is omzoomd met talloze gelukzalige gebeeldhouwde gezichten, die eeuwig naar het omringende bos staren.
Phnom Bakheng is een tempel op een heuvel die honderden jaren vóór Angkor Wat is gebouwd. Het is ook een van de beste plekken om de zonsondergang in Cambodja te bekijken, aangezien het uitkijkt over Angkor Wat zelf.

Great tour with Sok - saw multiple temples with detailed information and multiple opportunities to stop for photos (effectively doible-hatted as a professional one which was great). Stop for lunch was ok but nothing special. Overall would recommend.

We had a full day with guide Sok. It was very informative. Sok speaks English fluently and knows how to transfer his much knowledge of the temples and the history of the region in a way that gets you interested the whole time. We very much recommend this trip and this guide. In all fairness, we don't think it'll be that much interesting without the information you get at a tour like this.
