Onze stadstour van een halve dag door Amritsar is zo ontworpen dat alle belangrijke plaatsen om te bezoeken in de 400 jaar oude heilige stad worden getoond. De tour omvat alle belangrijke toeristische attracties, beginnend bij Golden Temple, 's werelds grootste keuken, Jallianwala bagh, Old Amritsar Market, Partition museum en Durgiana-tempel. Maar wat deze tour uniek maakt, is de service van onze vriendelijke gidsen met het vertellen van verhalen over alle plaatsen waar je bezoekt. Het geeft je de ervaring van een local met alle geschiedenis en feiten achter de plaatsen die binnen een paar uur na deze tour worden ontvouwd met onze ervaren verhalenvertellers / gids / je reisgenoot. In deze halve dag rondleiding door de stad Amritsar, beginnen we onze tour met een bezoek aan de Gouden Tempel in de ochtend. U zult worden uitgelegd met de geschiedenis van die plaats en toegang tot de achterste etappe tot 's werelds grootste keuken, waar de maaltijd wordt klaargemaakt voor 100.000 mensen per dag.
We zullen door de verschillende delen binnen de Gouden Tempel lopen.
We zullen de betekenis van het heilige gebouw Akal Takth-Sahib de rustplaats van het heilige boek uitleggen.
Terwijl je door het tempelcomplex wandelt, leer je ook meer over de gerespecteerde boom.
Loop door het historische achthoekige gebouw met 9 verdiepingen.
Bezoek de sombere plaats van het beruchte bloedbad onder het Britse bewind in de Jallianwala Bagh-tuinen en het gedenkteken dat de politieke opstand van 1919 herdenkt. Luister naar het tragische verhaal over verloren levens en bezoek het gedenkteken dat het deel van de muur bewaart met merktekens. samen met de bron waarin honderden wanhopig sprongen om de kogels te ontwijken.
Een bezoek aan dit museum brengt je terug in de tijd van 1947, toen India onafhankelijk werd en in twee landen werd verdeeld. De grootste genocide ooit is in de wereld gebeurd. Het museum heeft een gedetailleerde geschiedenis, echte audio-video's over partitie. Lopend door dit museum krijg je kippenvel en tranen in je ogen.

Rishi, our guide, really was the best guide ever. He was absolutely charming, exceedingly knowledgable and brought the whole history of Amritsar, the Golden Temple and the Partition to life. We particularly enjoyed the private tour of the kitchens at the Golden Temple and learning how it is run entirely by volunteers feeding a minimum of 20,000 people a day. Fantastic tour!

WOW! What an amazing day Our guide Aman took us to the Golden Temple at sunrise and it was breathtaking. As soon as the sun started to rise the Golden Temple began to light up in full esplendor. It was such a view to my sleepy eyes. Plus the Temple is surrounded by water so the reflection makes it look even more larger than life. This place is full of charm and overall I felt so peaceful visiting this temple. After the visit we headed for breakfast. One must try the Amritsari parathas (yum!) with some hot tea.
