Dit is een tour die zich richt op de geschiedenis van het christendom in Jordanië. Je bezoekt de doopplaats van Jezus Christus, Madaba, Mt Nebo voordat je ontspant en drijft in het zoute water van de Dode Zee. Nadat u bent overgebracht naar Petra, wordt u afgezet, zodat u de volgende dag zelf verder kunt met uw reis.

Uw chauffeur haalt u om 8.00 uur op bij het hotel en brengt u naar Madaba. Het best bekend om zijn spectaculaire Byzantijnse en Umayyad-mozaïeken, is de thuisbasis van de beroemde 6e-eeuwse mozaïekkaart van Jeruzalem en het Heilige Land. Met twee miljoen stukken levendig gekleurde lokale steen, toont het heuvels en valleien, dorpen en steden tot aan de Nijldelta. De Madaba-mozaïekkaart beslaat de vloer van de Grieks-orthodoxe kerk van St. George, die ten noordwesten van het stadscentrum ligt. De kerk werd gebouwd in 1896 AD, over de overblijfselen van een veel vroegere Byzantijnse kerk uit de 6e eeuw. Het mozaïekpaneel rond de kaart was oorspronkelijk ongeveer 15,6 x 6 m, 94 m², waarvan slechts ongeveer een kwart bewaard is gebleven.
Je gaat dan verder naar de berg Nebo waar naar verluidt Mozes had gestaan en naar het beloofde land had gekeken. Op een heldere dag kunt u uitkijken over de Dode Zee en helemaal naar Jeruzalem.
Verder naar beneden de Kings Hwy stop je bij het WadiMujib uitkijkpunt. Bekend als de Grand Canyon van Jordanië is dit een uitgestrekte vallei en biedt een geweldig uitzicht.
Je wordt dan naar het laagste punt op aarde gebracht; de dode Zee. Check in een van de Day Resorts en ervaar het unieke gevoel van drijven in het zoute water. Ontspan en geniet van de faciliteiten van het resort: zwemmen, modderbad en een lunchbuffet.
Ga door naar Petra waar je je reis zult beëindigen.

We thank the agency for adapting to our needs; we had little time and inconvenient schedules. However, they were always present. From the airport pickup, we felt safe. It is a very professional and punctual agency. We spent 2 days with them fulfilling the planned itinerary. Both the driver and interpreter were very friendly, attentive, caring, and kind. Thanks to them, we experienced a different version of the country than what we see on TV. It is a very safe country with good infrastructure. I recommend visiting Jornadia, and if it is with them, the experience will be much better.

I had a very nice short visit to Jordan everything very well organized by Jordan Horizon and my driver Mr. Fad who did a great job. After we left Amman we visited an old church, mount Nebo and the dead sea shore before arriving at my hotel in Petra, called Old Village. Very nice place with great views to Petra. The next morning the highlight of the trip: visit amazing Petra! A great experience with guide Mahmoud who explained everything about the history and astronomical background of the site.
