Deze unieke tour biedt een diepgaande blik op het dagelijks leven in Turkije, het verkennen van lokale gebruiken, traditionele bruiloften, de economie, onderwijs, gezondheidszorg en meer. Ontworpen voor degenen die verder willen gaan dan de historische bezienswaardigheden van de stad, biedt deze ervaring een frisse kijk op het moderne Istanbul en zijn levendige cultuur. Een alternatieve manier om Istanbul en Turkije te zien. Dit is een op tips gebaseerde wandeltocht. Hoewel er geen vaste kosten zijn, wordt een aanbevolen bijdrage verstrekt in de tourdetails voor uw referentie.

We beginnen onze tour met een oude madrasah, een religieuze school uit de tijd van het Ottomaanse Rijk. Het weerspiegelt de periode vóór de scheiding van onderwijs en religie, die plaatsvond met de stichting van de republiek.
We verkennen eerst de achterstraatjes van de Grote Bazaar, en nemen dan een korte blik binnen om een glimp op te vangen van items die verband houden met het dagelijkse lokale leven. Houd er rekening mee dat ons bezoek aan de Grote Bazaar zeer kort zal zijn, en houd er rekening mee dat de bazaar op zondag gesloten is.
We bezoeken de historische Oude Boeken Bazaar, waar we praten over Turkse literatuur en ik zal enkele aanbevelingen van bekende Turkse auteurs delen.
We bezoeken het interieur van de Beyazıt-moskee en leren over hoe moslims bidden, terwijl we de verschillende delen van de moskee verkennen
We bezoeken het Beyazıt-plein, dat ooit een belangrijke verzamelplaats was waar veel protesten begonnen en zich verspreidden over heel Turkije. Daar bespreken we ook de huidige situatie in het land.
We zullen de Universiteit van Istanbul zien en leren over het onderwijssysteem in Turkije
We lopen langs verschillende universitaire faculteiten en stoppen voor de Faculteit Economie en het ziekenhuis om te praten over de economie en het zorgstelsel van Turkije.
We zullen een aantal oude huizen zien, waarvan vele zijn omgebouwd tot non-profit organisaties. Hier vertellen we over het dagelijks leven in het verleden, traditionele bruiloften en nog veel meer.
We bezoeken een van de mooiste moskeeën van Turkije en vanuit de tuin heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de Bosporus en Istanbul. Deze plek zal je ook helpen de unieke geografie van de stad beter te begrijpen.
We zullen dit Turkse Bad van buitenaf bekijken en praten over de Hamamcultuur. Op dit punt kunt u ervoor kiezen om te vertrekken of verder te gaan met uw gids voor een korte wandeling van 2 minuten om te genieten van een gratis proeverij van Turkish Delight met vruchtenthee. Dit is geen winkelstop—niemand zal je iets proberen te verkopen. In plaats daarvan ervaart u een rustige sfeer met toegang tot een gratis uitzicht op het dak.

Very knowledgeable guide Great variety if sites
This tour was recommended by a friend. During my time in Istanbul I took a couple of tours but this one was by far the best. Yunus was our guide. He spoke excellent English and was available for away questions throughout the tour. He welcomes any questions on any topic. To be honest there were not many questions as he covered all aspects of life and culture in Turkey. I have visited Istanbul many times and the areas we visited in this tour were all new to me. I would highly recommend this tour and you will be lucky if you get Yunus as your guide. He is an asset to his profession and is an excellent host of his country.
Our tour guide Yunus was wonderfully knowledgeable. He’s clearly very intelligent and well-educated and gave us a great sense of what daily life in Istanbul is like. He also was very open to our questions and openly encouraged us to ask questions. We really enjoyed our tour and learning about the local life!
This was a great tour , i had already done another tour with them on my first morning in Istanbul which would highly recommend was a great introduction to the history and getting your baring if your first time in the city , with loads of tips of do,s and don,t ,s .places to see and restaurant recommenations .I took a second tour the culture one a few days later which was very educational and interesting , i happened to have Yunus tour guide on both occasions and he was brillant giving loads of information , making everyone comfortable and giving personal time to take photos and explore 10/10
Very informative tour with excellent English speaking guide
This tour was a highlight of our trip thanks to our incredibly informative, intelligent, engaging and friendly guide Yunus. We went to places in Istanbul we wouldn't have been to otherwise and learned about Istanbul and Turkish society and culture including customs, economics, religion, cultural and historic influences, politics, literature, education, healthcare and more. Stories and examples ensured we were never bored. Yunus encouraged us to ask questions and we took full advantage, sating our curiosity in a way that a standard tour or internet research could never do. Thanks to this wonderful tour, we have a greater understanding of this incredible city. It provided context for everything we saw before, during and after the tour. Don't miss it!
