Chongqing, de stad zelf, wordt nu een trendy hotspot in eigen land en wereldwijd, er is tegelijkertijd zowel moderne als traditionele geest aanwezig voor bezoekers van over de hele wereld. We bieden deze tour aan die alle primaire trendy plekken binnen een dagtour omvat, zodat reizigers in staat om deze verbazingwekkende grote stad in een gematigde intensiteit te ervaren en ondertussen niets interessants te missen. We bieden ook een lunch in lokale stijl en een koffiepauze in de middag die een kans geven om deze stad op een positieve manier te leren kennen. We halen onze reizigers in de ochtend op en rijden dan naar Longmenhao folk street, een Yangtze riverside attractie met traditionele architechtures. Het is gebouwd op een kleine heuvel waar reizigers een mooi uitzicht hebben over het hele centrum van Chongqing over de Yangtze rivier. Dit complex is onlangs gerenoveerd, een sightseeing lift bespaart ons veel moeite. We wandelen en verkennen rond, genieten van het mooie uitzicht en leren wat verhalen over deze historische stad en nostalgische gevoelens. We doen ook Xia-hao-lane, een ander deel van deze oude wijk ook, zal erg leuk zijn daar.
Daarna gaan we verder naar onze volgende stop-Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall, een gloednieuw stadsplanning museum gelegen door Yangtze. Zal een coole plek zijn om kort te leren over onze stad. Het is ook een mooi uitzicht plek van het hele uitzicht op de stad. Dan is het tijd voor onze lunch. We doen een lokaal buurtrestaurant voor wat familiekeukens of een versimpelde hotpot of rijstnoedels met kippensoep, onze reizigers zullen het telefoontje plegen.
Na de lunch doen we een unieke attractie, Liziba Monorail Station. Een monorailbrug gaat dwars door een aprtmentgebouw. Ons stadsbestuur bouwde vooral een perron vlak naast het station om reizigers in staat te stellen het geheel te bekijken. Elke dag trekken duizenden toeristen erheen om getuige te zijn van dit interessante spektakel. Het is nu ook een trendy attractie voor tik-tok influencers, ze nemen video rond, vergaren likes en vergroten hun volgers. De aankomstfrequentie van de trein is elke 3 minuten, zodat u niets zult missen.
Onze volgende zet zal dat bekende "Tricky floor building" zijn, een kantoorgebouw grenzend aan Hongyadong, het werkelijke straatniveau van dit gebouw gaat naar 22 verdieping, en het is ook 10 verdieping en 1 verdieping. Waarom? Daar komen we maar op één manier achter.
We lopen door een oude wijk en komen dan bij de No.1 hot spot-Hongya Cave via een mooie klif zijwandeling met mooi uitzicht op de rivier en de stad. Dan laten we je Hong-Ya-Dong deze unieke Yangtze rivierzijde oude stijl architectuur zien, ook erg leuk om daar te hebben.
De People's Assembly Hall zal een alternatieve optie zijn, afhankelijk van onze timing of het weer. Dit is een prachtige nastalgische archetectuur gebouwd in 1950 imiteert vrijwel de Tempel van de Hemel in Beijing, en is al meer dan 70 jaar de nr. 1 bezienswaardigheid van Chongqing. We zouden deze site misschien overslaan als we echt geen parkeerplaats in de buurt konden vinden. Het is echt moeilijk om er een te vinden, en misschien gaan we in plaats daarvan een autoritje maken.
Daarna zetten we onze reizigers terug in hun hotel of op een andere verlaten plek in het centrum.

Based on other reviews that I'd read, we chose this specific tour for not one, but two excursions. We were not disappointed. Legend was one of the absolute best tour guides that we've ever had from our many Viator bookings in the past. His English was superb and the tour was outstanding. For our next trip, Legend is our 'go to' for any tour. Thank you Legend. You are appreciated.
We had a great day out with Legend. Chongqing is filled with stairs which doesn’t work well with my elderly mother. Legend tailored the itinerary accordingly to work with her needs. It was a rainy day which wasn’t ideal but he worked around this also to show us around the city. We also had a nice lunch with a variety of local dishes.

Really enjoyed our city tour of Chongqing, with our guide, Legend. You definitely cannot tour this complex city without an experienced guide like him. We liked that Legend partnered with an excellent driver with a comfortable van for our group so he could stay fully engaged with us. Also, good driving is essential to getting around the city. In addition to his good English, he had decent tips about traversing the area ourselves and good nuggets of knowledge about Chongqing’s history, food, and culture. He was always engaging - we never felt the need to push him to share more information with us. He was very considerate and patient with our group which had two elderly adults who have some trouble with stairs. He always guided us to elevators or easier routes. Also liked that Legend knew of the more “secret” spots and less crowded routes - perhaps it was bc we toured on a more quiet day (Monday) but it was nice to have many viewpoints to ourselves due to his knowledge! The only mishap was that Legend forgot his phone in the car at one point, so we could not connect with the driver. But his resourcefulness helped us smoothly connect with him again and we ended the day on time. One piece of feedback is that he could speak more loudly for seniors hard of hearing. Overall, I highly recommend seeing Chongqing if you’re visiting China - and look out for Legend as your guide!
I had an amazing experience on this private day tour in Chongqing and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Our guide Legend was absolutely fantastic. His English was flawless, he was incredibly knowledgeable, and he had a great sense of humor that made the whole day even more enjoyable. Chongqing can be quite complex to navigate but thanks to him, we were able to explore so many places comfortably within a short amount of time. He also took us to a local restaurant for lunch that was truly outstanding. It was the kind of authentic spot that would be very difficult to find on our own and the food was delicious. On top of that, his driving was very smooth and the car was extremely clean which made the entire journey feel relaxed and pleasant. Overall, it was a perfect experience and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chongqing.

Legend showed us all the must-sees during the day tour, with surprisingly minimal steps. He also went above and beyond and took our requests and questions at the end of the tour. His English is also very easy to understand. I would totally recommend any English speakers to take this tour.
This Tour is a MUST when visiting Chongqing. Our guide (Legend, yes our tour guide) truly lived up to his name. This would have to be the most professional tour we have been on, anywhere. We felt very honoured to have such a knowledgeable guide and it was a huge day that was brilliantly thought out and executed. Truly a very special day that we can’t wait to share with others. Legend created a great day for us. We particularly enjoyed the Longmenhao Old Street area, the visit to the Liziba Station, and our lunch. When we expressed an interest in Chongqing food, he lead us through a wild tour of a food hall.
