We booked a private guide on our cruise stop in Kusadasi and it was the best choice. Rather than deal with a crowded bus, we had a private luxury van and our own personal guide, Gokmen. Gokmen was knowledgeable about the sites and was able to navigate around the hoards of cruise ship tour groups. We had a relaxed tour around Ephesus then had a traditional lunch at a weaving/vocational school where we learned about how rugs were made. Since it was a private tour, we got to determine how much time we spent in each area and didn't feel rushed. If you get a chance book a private tour with Gokmen!
Our guide Eda was prompt, polite and very well-spoken in her vast knowledge of the history of the area. Our safety and comfort were hers and our driver's first concern. We would highly recommend Eda and team for a fabulous day spent learning about the House of Mary and touring Ephesus plus a little time for shopping at a local market rather than the port shops. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience.
We were a family group of 12 and had Murat as our guide. He was great and kept us all entertained and provided a very informative tour of Ephesus. On a very hot day he always found shade for us and kept us moving with”let’s walk and talk”. After Ephesus we did a few marketing stops that we could have skipped but overall highly recommend!
Zaynap was very helpful and informative regarding the areas we visited on the tour. Very knowledgeable regarding the history of Ephesus. Driver drove safe and the car was clean and the drive was relaxing.
Ephesus Port Tours was so great to work with. They made setting up a private tour for 14 easy! They were quick with responses to my questions and were clear on the cost and where to meet them at the port.
