All-inclusive Tikal-tour vanaf de luchthaven Flores of Mundo Maya

Op de dag van de tour verwelkomen we u met een persoonlijk bordje in de terminal van de luchthaven Mundo Maya of direct bij het "I love Petén"-bord op het eiland Flores. U reist in een privévoertuig met airconditioning naar het Nationaal Park Tikal, waar u al toegang heeft tot de toegangspoorten om wachtrijen te vermijden. Onder begeleiding van een gecertificeerde expertgids bezoekt u het Grote Plein, de Tempel van de Grote Jaguar en beklimt u Tempel IV om vanuit de hoogte over de jungle uit te kijken en de Maya-geschiedenis te ontdekken. Om de reis in stijl af te sluiten, geniet u van een uitgebreide lunch met traditionele gerechten uit de regio, alvorens u aan boord gaat van ons vervoer terug naar de luchthaven of rechtstreeks naar het eiland Flores. Het is het op twee na grootste meer van Guatemala en het eiland Flores ligt eraan. Tien minuten voordat je in de bus stapt, heb je tijd om souvenirfoto's te maken; er staat een speciaal bord met de tekst "I LOVE PETÉN". Hier begint uw reis en u passeert kleine stadjes totdat u de hoofdingang van het Nationaal Park Tikal bereikt. Daar stapt u uit de bus om uw toegangskaartjes voor het park te kopen. De rit duurt ongeveer een uur.
De hoofdingang van het Nationaal Park Tikal. Hier voeren de parkwachters de eerste ticketcontrole uit (deze is al inbegrepen). Vanaf hier begint het Nationaal Park Tikal. Hier kunnen we gebruik maken van de toiletten. Daarna vervolgen we onze route nog zo'n 16 kilometer tot we bij het bezoekerscentrum aankomen.
Hier is de zin omgezet naar "jij": In het bezoekerscentrum van het park vindt u een schaalkaart van Tikal (maquette), toiletten, restaurants, ambachtswinkeltjes, koffie en het Steenmuseum (de toegangsprijs is niet bij de prijs inbegrepen en tickets moeten vóór het betreden van het park worden gekocht). Uw gids geeft u 15 minuten. Vervolgens gaat u naar de ticketcontrole en begint uw wandeling over junglepaden. Onderweg maakt u stops waar uw lokale gids u uitleg geeft over de flora, fauna en archeologie. Totdat u het centrale plein bereikt.
Hier vindt u de Tempel van de Grote Jaguar, Tempel II, de Noordelijke Akropolis, de Zuidelijke Akropolis, het Maya-balveld en nog veel meer; een van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden om te bezoeken.
Tempel IV, oftewel de Tempel van de Tweekoppige Slang. Je hebt veel energie nodig om hem te beklimmen. Hij biedt een ongelooflijk panoramisch uitzicht, vooral bij zonsopgangen.
De Lost World Pyramid heeft trappen om naar boven te gaan en biedt een ongelooflijk 360 graden uitzicht. Uw lokale gids geeft u de tijd om de berg te beklimmen en foto's te maken, want vanaf hier heeft u een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht.
Tempel V in Tikal is een van de best gerestaureerde tempels en is daarom zeker een bezoek waard. Vervolgens loopt u terug naar het bezoekerscentrum om uw wandeling af te ronden.
Aan het einde van de tour geniet u hier van een heerlijke lunch. Vervolgens stapt u weer op de bus om terug te keren naar het eiland Flores of de luchthaven Mundo Maya.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Op Mundo Maya Airport is de ophaaltijd 7:30 uur en het ontmoetingspunt is bij de cafetaria. Er is er maar één. Onze medewerkers komen u ophalen, gekleed in ons bedrijfsuniform en met een bordje met uw naam om aan te geven welk vervoermiddel we gebruiken. Bij hotels op Flores dient u 15 minuten voor 8.00 uur klaar te staan in de lobby van uw hotel. Onze gids zal dan arriveren met een lijst van de mensen die aan de tour deelnemen.

Lloyd was a fantastic and passionate tour guide who had a lot of knowledge about Mayan cities and civilizations, especially Tikal!
The activity was very good. Just one recommendation regarding the pickup at the airport since this is the last point, and the schedule states 7:30 AM, but the pickup actually happened after 8:00 AM, which made me worry and I had to contact the operator to confirm the times.
Great vehicle with A.C. Also great driving. Nice and knowledgeable local guide. Stunning place. Lunch was ok.
The ride went well. The shuttle ride and visit to the Tikal site, very good. On the other hand, out of 15 people, 4 wanted the information in English. We had them, but maybe 40% of the time. It was much more in Spanish. Otherwise, everything was fine.
Excellent trip to see the Mayan ruins. The guide was excellent, explaining all the different ruins history. We climbed several ruins and although we walked a lot, we had a few rest breaks. It was a good balance. Saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys and anteaters.
The visit itself is fun to see the pyramids and many wild animals too. However, the guide was not very communicative that at the beginning of the tour he only spoke in Spanish to ask everyone to preorder food and I had no clue what he was saying, when I asked him what's everyone doing, he just asked me to stay put. Later I asked him about it, he said he will fix it, but he didn't. He was nowhere to be found (we were once lost on our way back too). Otherwise the pickup and dropoff at the airport are smooth.
My partner and I took part in the tour to Tikal and had a lovely day! We left Flores at 8 in the morning because we didn't want it as stressful as the Sunrise tours, and were picked up near our hotel (this would not have been necessary in the end, Flores Island is so small that you can easily walk to the parking lot where the actual shuttle starts). It was all on time, the tickets had already been bought by the organizer, and after about 90 min drive we could start the tour in Tikal. Elvin was friendly, entertaining and obviously enjoyed the tour, it was a good and exciting experience! Due to the heat and humidity you are actually well exhausted after 3-4 hours of guidance, even if there would be much more to see. There was also time in between to look around what was important to us to really enjoy the surroundings. Lunch at the end was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, but perfectly fine. You could choose between chicken and beef, but on request I got a vegetarian option with rice, vegetables, egg and cheese. After the meal there was 45 minutes until the bus went back, that would not have been necessary, but maybe they planned a buffer. For the price the tour is absolutely recommended, we had a good time and learned a lot!
Our tour had a great time. Our guide Jose was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to the best spots and gave us great photographs ideas. Our guide was very polite and gave us excellent pointers along the way and prior to the start of the tour. We all had a great time.
loved the tour, it was perfect for solo travelers. The timing was ideal, the weather was great, and the food was delicious.
It was such a nice experience. We were picked up at our hotel, brought to the main bus. Luis, the guide, was amazing. He was smart funny and witty! We learned so much and the group we were with was pretty fun as well. The lunch was super tasty.
