Ontsnap aan de stad en stap in een van Sydney's best bewaarde geheimen met deze ervaring in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, afgestemd op uw tempo en energie op de dag. We trekken de ruige zandstenen wildernis in met een weids uitzicht over Pittwater en de Hawkesbury River. Onderweg wandel je over rustige bush tracks naar oude Aboriginal sites, waaronder de Red Hand Cave, en maak je verbinding met het diepere verhaal van dit land. Het pad beweegt zich door bossen, kust bushland en dramatische uitkijkpunten voordat het opent naar de verborgen schoonheid van West Head Beach. Omgeven door ongerepte natuur en gouden zandsteen, kleurt het water vaak helder turkoois op rustige dagen. Tijd om te vertragen. Voordat we dieper het nationale park in trekken, stoppen we bij West Head Lookout, een van de meest adembenemende uitzichtpunten in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Vanaf hier geniet je van een prachtig uitzicht over Pittwater, Barrenjoey Headland en de uitgestrektheid van Broken Bay die samenkomt met de Stille Oceaan. Het is de perfecte eerste pauze om aan te komen, even op adem te komen en te genieten van de omvang en schoonheid van het landschap voordat we de reis voortzetten.
We volgen de Aboriginal Heritage Walk, een prachtige bush track die slingert door zandstenen land en kustbos. Onderweg bezoek je twee rotsschuilplaatsen met handstencils en zie je oude Aboriginal gravures in de steen geëtst, krachtige herinneringen aan de diepe culturele geschiedenis en verbinding met Country die hier al duizenden jaren bestaat.
Resolute Beach is een afgelegen stuk gouden zand weggestopt in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, in de buurt van Palm Beach en Pittwater. Omgeven door bushland en alleen bereikbaar te voet of per boot, het voelt als een geheime ontsnapping uit de stad. Het kalme, heldere water is perfect voor een verfrissende duik na een wandeling, en het uitzicht over Pittwater naar Barrenjoey Headland zijn prachtig. Met zijn mix van bossen, rotsplatforms en kustlijn biedt Resolute Beach een rustige plek om uit te rusten, te eten of gewoon in stilte te zitten — een plek die kilometers van Sydney vandaan voelt, maar toch op slechts een uur rijden van de stad. • Spring in het water voor een duik en blijf zo lang als je wilt • Verder wandelen en verder verkennen • Of, als het weer niet ideaal is om te zwemmen of wandelen, ga dan naar Mooney Mooney voor verse oesterproeverijen aan het water.

Sabina is a very nice and knowledgeable tour guide. I was the only person who had booked the tour that day and was leaving the next day, she didn't cancel the tour. She even picked me up at the cruise terminal, explained the aboriginal rock art and we did the hike at my pace. The weather was not inviting for a swim, but we still had the picnic on a secluded beach and had a good lough when a kookaburra snatched away a piece of cheese and some nuts. The tour was really enjoyable and I was so glad that I finally made it to the Ku-Ring-Gai NP, where I had wanted to go for years.

I really enjoyed this trip. Sabina was a very enthusiastic guide who adapted the tour in several places to cover what I wanted to see. I really liked the small group element of the tour as you were not waiting for other people all the time and could see things at the pace I chose. The tour takes a guided walk through the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park which has far fewer tourists than other trips I went on and it was a wonderful chance to experience some of the countryside without so many other people crowding the trails. Stopped off at some stunning view points. I would highly recommend this trip.

Fantastic day with a really knowledgeable guide (thanks Sabina). Spent time walking along some forest tracks and down to the coast, seeing some aboriginal carvings in the way. Sabina provided a delicious lunch whilst we chilled out in the beach. Another shorter walk over America Bay with some amazing views. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I had a great time exploring Ku-Ring-Gai National Park with Sabina! While the price seemed a bit expensive, it was worth every penny! Though we booked a group tour, this was an all day private tour which included pickup at our hotel, and ride to the national park in Sabina's very comfortable vehicle. We love hiking, and this was such an easy and enjoyable way to explore the Ku-Ring-Gai's best inland and coastal trails with amazing views, without having to worry about driving ourselves, where to park, and how/where to find the best trails. Perfect for our limited time in Sydney. The lunch Sabina packed was delicious, healthy, and catered to our dietary needs. HIGHLY recommend you book a private tour with Sabina so she can show you the best of everything around, catered to your specific tastes and needs. My husband and I are active hikers, so we loved being able to explore the park at length with Sabina. Having her all to ourselves was perfect for that! Other tourists prefer a short hike to 1 beach only, and then staying there all day to swim. And some less active tourists prefer short walks to lookout points only, and then going to eat shell-fish. Knowing that, we'll always book private tours with Sabina when we return to Sydney. We loved the wonderfully active hiking tour she gave us. She's also a lovely, warm, and kind human being. A natural people person. It was such a pleasure having her as our local guide. Felt less like a tour, and more like an outting with a friend at a spectacular place. 'Nuff said. Book this trip. Sabrina afforded my husband and I a beautiful day at Ku ring gai. She was very attentive to our needs and desires throughout our hike. We thoroughly enjoyed the carvings and painting left by early inhabitants long ago and the unique beaches. But the capstone was the picnic on a rock ledge over the beautiful vistas of America Bay— very nice!

Sabina is amazing, she is born for this. It was a medium length hike which was perfect-her experience in this area is obvious and she made these super cute little picnic hampers which tasted so good and the best way to end the experience/day. Can't wait until our next adventure!
