Alicante City & Beach Tour is uw introductie tot de geschiedenis van de stad. Je zult zien hoe Alicante door de jaren heen is gevormd. Route omvat de kleurrijke oude binnenstad, het stadscentrum, het strand en de jachthaven. Ga met ons mee terwijl we langs de oogverblindende Centrale Markt, de gotische kerk, de kust, het bewonderde theater, het indrukwekkende uitzicht op het kasteel van Santa Barbara, verbazingwekkende oude bomen en nog veel meer....

Dit gebied ligt iets hoger, naast de muur die naar beneden loopt vanaf het kasteel van Santa Bárbara. Santa Cruz Hermitage staat op de hellingen van Mount
De bouw van de Co-kathedraal begon in de 17e eeuw in een Herrerian-stijl, gekenmerkt door zijn soberheid en schaarse decoratieve items.
Deze basiliek was oorspronkelijk een moslimmoskee, die een christelijke kerk werd nadat de christenen de stad hadden veroverd. Dit is een ander gebouw dat niet is beschadigd door het bombardement. De huidige kerk is gotisch
Dit is het enige stadsstrand dat je in de stad kunt bezoeken. Vanaf dit strand kunt u het kasteel van Santa Bárbara met zijn karakteristieke Moor Face-profiel aanschouwen.
De eerste strandboulevard werd gebouwd met puin van de sloop van de historische muren. Oorspronkelijk genaamd "El Malecón". De huidige esplanade is gebouwd in de jaren '60. In totaal bestaat het mozaïek uit 6.600.000 stukjes in drie verschillende kleuren; een van hen wordt "Alicante rood" genoemd, omdat deze marmerkleur alleen in deze regio te vinden is.
Dit plein heette vroeger "Correos"; het weerspiegelt de burgerlijke stad en ideeën van stedelijke esthetiek die eigen zijn aan de nieuwe dominante klasse.
je vindt er verschillende 100 jaar oude Ficusbomen. Op warme dagen is het heel aangenaam om schaduw te zoeken en te wandelen in dit park.
We gaan nu terug naar onze langs de jachthaven in plaats van de Explanada.
Hij werd in 2008 gebouwd voor de Volvo Ocean Race die vertrok vanuit Alicante. U zult genieten van de zee onder uw voeten.
Dit markeerde het begin van de uitbreiding van de stad. Tijdens deze route bezoeken we het gebied waar de nieuwe stad ontstond in de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw.
Het eerste stadhuis werd in 1691 door bombardementen verwoest. Dit gebouw lag zeer dicht bij de zee en als gevolg daarvan was dit gebied een van de meest beschadigde van de stad. Het stadhuis dat we vandaag de dag kunnen bezoeken, werd gebouwd aan het begin van de 18e eeuw.
Deze laan markeert de grens tussen de oude wijk (links) en het historische centrum dat op het punt stond te ontstaan (rechts). Vroeger was het een sloot aan de voet van de muur, waar regenwater doorheen liep.
Dit theater werd gebouwd in het midden van de 19e eeuw.
Werd gebouwd aan het begin van de 20e eeuw en werd later gebombardeerd tijdens de burgeroorlog. Delen van deze markt moesten worden gereconstrueerd.

We enjoyed our tour with Pietro. We made a couple of stops in the old town before heading to the beach road. We enjoyed riding along the beach path and in the marina that were more open compared to the narrower city streets. Pietro was happy to take photos along the way. We were glad to have the ebikes as there was a large hill towards the end of the ride. We didn't need the shopping stop at the candy store and the tour could have been about 30-45 minutes shorter as we were tired, but we had an enjoyable time.
Pietro was a fabulous tour guide. The ride through Alicante was beautiful. The coast, the beaches, the town — all amazing. Pietro did a great job making sure it was a safe ride, and providing insight into the city and its history. Very much enjoyed the tour and recommend this highly.
This tour was really perfect! The guide was mega friendly and friendly, the places we have been were beautiful and nice to have seen once, and we got enough advice for nice places to visit again. We laughed a lot with Pietro! (our guide) Definitely recommended if you want to see the most beautiful places in the city!
Pietro was our guide. He made this tour extra special. His enthusiasm and sense of humour makes it extra special. We stopped at the market for a little treat. He made a nice suggestion for a special supper on a rooftop. Very nice tour and tour guide
Ideal to discover allicante on the first dan. Sports enthusiasts certainly don't need an electric bike.
Fun biking tour (electric bikes not included) that covers a good length of the city and gorgeous coastline. Anke was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept the group safe. Unfortunately the market was closed for holiday but we did get to watch some of the Semana Santa procession.
We always choose a bike tour if available on holiday and were delighted to join Anke our guide and 4 others on this Alicante tour. The bikes were well maintained and super comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable and the tour was just the right combination of biking and stopping to see and hear about the sights. We particularly enjoyed the longer ride along the old railway line up the coast (gorgeous on a beautiful spring day) because we'd never have seen that on foot. We also got to taste a few local food delicacies at the market and in one of the nougat shops. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a great introduction to Alicante and we really recommend the tour! Thank you.
We should have chosen a bike route ourselves. Group was too big, group of English ladies there that we had to wait for. La ge boring trip along beach, same route back.
Get a Tam card for travel on bus in city and on trams in A zone. Goes up cost long way. 20 euro gives you 30 trips and you only need 1 card for 2 people
Good way to spend a few hours exploring Alicante , coast , harbour and city. Definitely recommended Great guide , Chris from Columbia Took time to ensure people were happy and took photos of couples etc
