Drie paleizen vormen deze behuizing: de Mexuar, het Paleis van Comares (Yusuf I) en het Hof van de Leeuwen (Mohammed V).
Het Alcazaba, of fort, is het oudste deel van het Alhambra. Het werd gebouwd in het midden van de 13e eeuw door de Sultan Alhamar, de stichter van de Nasrid-dynastie.
Het complex bestaat uit de Patio de la Acequia (Hof van het waterkanaal of Water-Garden Courtyard), die een lang zwembad heeft, omzoomd door bloembedden, fonteinen, zuilengalerijen en paviljoens, en de Jardín de la Sultana (Sultana's Garden of binnenplaats van de Cipres).
Het paleis van Karel V is een renaissancegebouw in Granada, Zuid-Spanje, gelegen op de top van de heuvel van de Assabica, binnen de Nasrid-vesting van het Alhambra. Het gebouw is nooit het huis van een monarch geweest en bezit het museum van het Alhambra.

This company is a total FRAUD. We booked Alhambra tour with them six weeks in advance. I emailed them to confirm and also request if we could pick up the tickets from their office. They said we could do so. Then, two days before our tour, they emailed to cancel our tickets. We had travelled thousands of miles, spent thousands of dollars to be in Granada for seeing Alhambra. For them to sell us overpriced tickets and then cancel last minute without even a somewhat honest explanation is completely ridiculous. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE FRAUDS.

It is a beautiful place that emanates a lot of peace and at the same time we learn from the history of the Arab presence in Granada. We want to thank Angela who was our guide for these three hours where she explained every detail and answered all our questions. We were very impressed with the treatment and kindness to us. We did guided tour of Alhambra, Palaces and Generalife with Angela de guia, deluxe !! We were two couples and Angela's directions and explanations were great.
