Van uw cruiseschip in Alexandrië tot de Piramides van Gizeh en het Grand Egyptian Museum, met een gediplomeerd Egyptoloog die beide werelden door en door kent. Uw Gids ontmoet u in de haven met een voertuig met airconditioning. U rijdt naar Caïro en begint bij het plateau van Gizeh, staande aan de voet van de Grote Piramide van Khufu, het zien van de Sfinx en een bezoek aan het panoramische uitzichtpunt waar alle drie de piramides op één lijn staan voor foto's. Daarna rechtstreeks naar het Grand Egyptian Museum, het grootste archeologische museum ooit gebouwd. Uw Gids leidt u door het torenhoge atrium langs het torenhoge standbeeld van Ramses II en naar de Toetanchamongalerijen waar zijn complete schatten voor het eerst in de geschiedenis samen worden getoond. Lunch in een lokaal restaurant van hoge kwaliteit, keer vervolgens terug naar uw schip met 2 uur buffer voor vertrek. Maximaal 8 reizigers per vertrek, zodat u persoonlijke aandacht krijgt van uw Egyptoloog. Vaak heeft u de tour naar uw feest alleen. Dit doen we al sinds 2013.

Na uw privétransfer van Alexandrië Port naar Cairo (ongeveer 2,5 uur), komt u aan op het Gizeh Plateau. Je Egyptoloog loopt met je mee naar de basis van de Grote Piramide van Khufu, legt de bouw en geschiedenis ervan uit met echte diepte, en geeft je de tijd op het panoramische uitzichtpunt voor de duidelijkste foto van alle drie de piramides samen.
Een korte wandeling van de piramides brengt u naar de Grote Sfinx van Gizeh, de kalksteenbewaarder die meer dan 4.500 jaar geleden uit een enkele rots is gehouwen. Uw egyptoloog legt de ware leeftijd uit (door sommige geleerden betwist), wat het eigenlijk vertegenwoordigt en de eeuwen van restauratie die het hebben gevormd. Je hebt tijd voor foto's vanaf het speciale uitkijkplatform met de Piramide van Khafre erachter.
Je gaat verder naar het Grand Egyptian Museum, het grootste archeologische museum ooit gebouwd, geopend in november 2025. Je Gids leidt je door het torenhoge atrium langs het torenhoge standbeeld van Ramses II, de Grote Trap met koninklijke monumenten op en naar de Toetanchamon-galerijen waar zijn complete collectie voor het eerst in de geschiedenis samen wordt tentoongesteld. Je ziet het gouden masker, de strijdwagens, de troon en de canopische heiligdommen, allemaal met verhalen verteld door iemand die ze daadwerkelijk bestudeerd heeft.

Ahmed Attarious, organised two great trips for our group of 4, from the Cruise port of Alexandria. During the booking process, he was exceptionally helpful and answered several emails very quickly. We had the same driver Mohammed who was very good and helpful. Doma, our guide spoke excellent english and was very knowledgable, amusing, friendly and courteous. throughout. Despite the current Middle East situation, we always felt safe and secure at all times. We had no problem finding our guide when we disembarked from the ship for our 6 hours tour of Alexandria. We first visited the Catacombs, which were very interesting , then passed by Pompey's Pillar before arriving at the Qaitbay Fort close to where the Ancient Lighthouse used to be. We then went to the area of the Mosque of Abu al-Mursi, where we entered one of the 3 mosques which are in close proximity. After a very good lunch at a local fish restaurant we then went to the very modern and impressive new Alexandria Library which has a collection of approx 8 million books. The second trip was a 6am start and 3hour journey to Giza to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx. This was an excellent 12 hour day and the history of the pyramids was brought to life by the information and enthusiasm of Doma, our guide. If we had just turned up on our own, or in a tour group of 50, then the it would not have been so memorable. After the Pyramids we chose to go for a typical Egyptian lunch, which was very tasty, and was enjoyed by us all. The final stop was the nearby, new Grand Egyptian Museum. The design was fabulous, with plenty of space to exhibit and see the myriad of treasures. This must not be missed, and hopefully in a couple of months it will also house the Tutankhamun exibition, which sadly at the start of October 2025, had still not been transferred there from the old Cairo Museum. Thank you Ahmed, it was a real pleasure to do business with Egypt Day Tours, and thank you Mohammed for getting us safely through all the traffic. Lots of choices to pick, even after booking, we still have a chance to discuss our itinerary with the service provider who took the initiative to contact us right after our booking, and discuss with us about trip details, possible amendment. We received confirmation, worries free. For the actual trip, we booked for small group, eventually only 2 of us in the trip, so like a private tour. The guide Maha and driver Kareem waited for us at 6 am with a clear sign for identifying us. They are very friendly and professional. We felt safe and comfortable in the car. Maha knows when and where to go first to avoid crowds, and to complete the must see list. We fully enjoyed the whole process from booking to the actual event.

Once booked, agent contacted right away for support and to answer our questions. On the tour day, Maha the guide and Kareem the driver wait for us at the Port Gate at 6 am sharp. By starting early, we arrived at the attractions before rush hours. Maha lead us all the way and explained everything in detail. She led us with the best route in the Pyramids and the Grand Egypt Museum. We have a very good lunch at a restaurant where we can view the Pyramids. Kareem is a safe driver. Good job.

Our tour to Cairo from the Alexandria Port was easy and went smoothly. We were picked up inside the Port and the ride to Cairo was just under 3 hours. Our guide Dalia was fantastic. She was very informative and knowledgable. We were taken to the Pyramids first and then visited the Gem museum. Dalia, the driver and the tour team were checking on us the whole day. Overall I would highly recommend this tour.

We had the best day ever! They picked us up right where our cruise was docked and we drove all the way from Alexandria to Cairo. We saw the Pyramids, went inside the Great Pyramid and saw the Sphinx. After enjoying some local food, we went to a jewelry shop to get our own cartouche. We visited a papyrus shop and then went to visit the museum. Before driving back to Alexandria, we went on a boat ride in the Nile. Our guide was a very polite, funny and intelligent man. Our driver very professional and we felt very safe with our police escort. We had one of the best days ever🇪🇬🌅🐪
