Stap van uw cruiseschip in Alexandrië en sta tegen lunchtijd aan de voet van de Grote Piramide. Deze excursie aan wal brengt u naar Gizeh en het Grand Egyptian Museum, daarna terug naar uw schip met uren tijd over, met een kleine groep medecruisepassagiers. Uw gediplomeerde Egyptoloog ontmoet u in de haven met een voertuig met airconditioning. Je reist naar het plateau van Gizeh, waar je aan de voet van de Grote Piramide van Khufu staat, de Sfinx van dichtbij ziet en de echte geschiedenis achter 2,3 miljoen steenblokken hoort. Dan verder naar het gloednieuwe Grand Egyptian Museum, waar koning Toetanchamons complete schatten voor het eerst samen worden getoond. Daarna een comfortabele transfer terug naar uw schip, met minimaal 2 uur buffer voor vertrek. Je komt binnen 2,5 uur na het verlaten van de haven van Alexandrië aan op het plateau van Gizeh. Je egyptoloog loopt met je mee naar de basis van de Grote Piramide van Khufu, legt uit hoe 2,3 miljoen steenblokken hier terecht zijn gekomen en vertelt wat het laatste onderzoek eigenlijk laat zien over hoe het gebouwd is. Je brengt tijd door op het panoramische uitzichtpunt voor heldere foto's van alle drie de piramides samen. Dan naar beneden naar de Sfinx, waar je Gids de echte theorieën over de leeftijd en het doel ervan uitlegt. Optionele add-ons : binnengaan in de Grote Piramide, een kameelrit voor foto's.
Je gaat verder naar het Grand Egyptian Museum, het grootste archeologische museum ooit gebouwd. Uw Gids leidt u door het torenhoge atrium langs het torenhoge standbeeld van Ramses II, de Grote Trap met koninklijke monumenten op en naar de Toetanchamon-galerijen waar zijn complete collectie voor het eerst in de geschiedenis samen wordt getoond. Je zult je niet haasten. Zo lang als je wilt, luister je naar de verhalen achter de strijdwagens, de troon en de canopische heiligdommen van iemand die ze heeft bestudeerd.

Geef bij het boeken uw cruiseschipnaam en aankomst-/vertrektijden door, zodat we het ophalen kunnen afstemmen op het havenschema van uw schip. Uw Gids zal u ontmoeten bij de cruise uitgang met een bord met uw naam. Maximaal 16 reizigers sluiten zich bij elk vertrek aan.

We had an amazing time in El Cairo. We arrived in cruise Alexandria and had an 3hour drive arriving back on time. Mai was the best guide ever, she was very knowledgeable, explain everything simple and were the best host. We had an amazing pyramids tour and then had lunch. Finalizing with the essential cottons, oils and jewelry. Highly recommended!

good overview of Alexandria, especially for first time travelers to the city. liked the museum and the exhibit of Tutankhamen. The visit to the catacombs very enlightening. It made all the places come to life by the wonderful guide we had .He and the driver made this a memorable experience.

First I got in touch with Ahmed the international sales director via WhatsApp and email, communication was easy and he responded quickly, all my questions was answered appropriately. I think it starts with trusting the initial communication when booking a tour and visiting a country for the first time. Ahmed put my mind at ease and I felt comfortable proceeding with this tour. I also requested to be part of a small group instead of private tour. Ahmed was excellent to say the least. I paid 20% deposit then the rest after the tour is completed via secured payment link. On the day of the tour he texted that our guide is waiting at the exit of our cruise terminal. Our guide was Rasha, she was very detailed, took care of bathroom breaks, souvenir shop stops, lunch, pictures and more. Her English was great, our driver was great too. It was a long day, we felt very safe, we had a good time and with good pictures and memories to share with family and friends. A water bottle and cookie was also included. I highly recommend Egypt Day Tours thank you!One more bucket list trip completed.

Was a wonderful experience with our guide, security, the driver and only one other couple. It was like a private tour with our own Egyptologist. Very informative, interesting and kind. He knew just where to stand for great photos, helped take them too.
