We had an enjoyable day tour with Dimitris, who was patient even though we started a bit late than planned this morning (jetlag). He knows the local roads, so took us to most sites via roads that go through farms. We stopped by a peach farm and the local farmers were very generous to share their harvest with us for free. It was great to visit the excavation sites and museums, which have done remarkable job of displaying the ancient treasures. Dimitris is knowledgeable about the local area and provided us tips on visiting local restaurants and sampling local cuisine.
Outstanding experience with Dimitris, he was a fantastic guide and driver. When the opening goes for Pellac were changed he took us to an additional site not scheduled and we still saw everything we originally planned for, plus stopped to try fresh peaches off the try as the season was right. I highly recommend booking with him.

We really enjoyed our day with Dimitris. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with. We even went off the schedule a bit to do some things we wanted to do and he was very accommodative. He told us that he was soon going to offer a multi day food and culture trip about northern Greece and we can’t wait to go!
Dimitrio was an outstanding person to receive me for this trip and readily adapted the schedule to accomodate my specific needs for the trips to Pella and Vergina. Anyone wanting to visit Thessaloniki would be well rewarded by taking this tour.
Dimitris is a good driver, reliable, good company and told us interesting stories about life in Thessaloniki. We saw the museum in Pella, the archaeological site of Pella, the Museum of the Tombs of the Macadoians (including Phillipos II) and the new museum in Vergina (Aigai in ancient Greece). Wonderful sites and a great day trip from Thessaloniki. Highly recommended.
We travelled with Dimitris Bekas to Pella and Vergina. He was utterly magnificent. He arrived promptly in a very clean car,was full of local knowledge and expertise and was delightful company. If anyone would like a tour of these two places, Dimitris comes with the very highest recommendation.
Dimitris is an excellent and helpful guide. He even recommended a restaurant. There are 3 museums in 3 different locations, so we didn’t want to visit the excavations to save time for the museums. Highly recommended
