Een privétour exclusief voor uw groep, wat is er mooier dan de geschiedenis van het oude Griekenland tot leven te laten komen terwijl u de wachtrij overslaat met uw erkende deskundige gids om het hoogtepunt van het klassieke Griekenland te zien. Tijdens onze tour ervaar je alle resterende klassieke tempels en structuren van deze UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie, waaronder het iconische Parthenon, beschouwd als een meesterwerk van de klassieke Griekse architectuur, het mystieke Erechtheion, gewijd aan de godin Athena, en de gigantische Propylaea, toegangsportaal als je leert over hun fascinerende geschiedenis, mythologie en de artistieke expressie die hen sierde. Je zult ook de overblijfselen zien van het Theater van Dionysus, waar de eerste uitvoeringen van Ancient Plays en het Herodes Atticus Theater plaatsvonden. Deze verbazingwekkende plek speelde een centrale rol in de ontwikkeling van een van 's werelds grootste beschavingen en heeft een centrale invloed op de inwoners van deze oude stad, uitgestrekt in de panoramische uitzichten beneden.

ONZE GIDS ONTMOETEN. Je gids wacht op Makrygianni Street bij de metrohalte Akropolis, die net om de hoek van de hoofdingang van de Akropolis ligt. Onze ontmoetingsplek biedt een ideaal perspectief om de omringende muur van de Akropolis, gebouwd door de eerdere Myceense beschaving, te bekijken en om u een inleiding te geven tot de geschiedenis van de Akropolis, het belang en de rol ervan in het leven van het oude Griekenland, en een overzicht van de tempels en verbazingwekkende monumenten die je gaat zien.
Nog steeds in een goede staat van bewaring, is een van onze eerste stops het oude THEATER VAN DIONYSUS. Gebouwd in de 4e en 5e eeuw voor Christus in een natuurlijk amfitheater op de hellingen van de Akropolis, zou het een indrukwekkende capaciteit van 25.000 personen hebben gehad. Het wordt beschouwd als de oudste ter wereld. Verbazingwekkend om te bedenken dat veel van de beroemdste Oud-Griekse toneelstukken hier hun oorspronkelijke première zouden hebben gehad!
Stijg op naar de monumentale poort (Propylaia) en de ingang van de Akropolis. Toen de tempels van de Akropolis in zicht kwamen, zouden de oude Grieken begroet zijn door een enorm versierd bronzen beeld van de godin Athene. Volgens de legende kon de punt van haar vastgehouden speer in het zonlicht door binnenkomende schepen worden gezien.
Deze klassieke Ionische tempel, gebouwd rond 420 voor Christus en een van de vroegste tempels van de Akropolis, was gewijd aan de godin Athena en is grotendeels gerestaureerd, met een prominente positie met uitzicht op de stad.
Deze tempel, het hoogtepunt van de 'Gouden Eeuw' van het klassieke Griekenland, was een ongeëvenaard meesterwerk van kunst, architectuur en techniek en tevens het hart van de oud-Griekse ceremonies en aanbidding in Athene. We nemen de tijd bij deze belangrijkste tempel met een overzicht van de constructie, mythologie en historisch belang ervan.
De op één na grootste tempel van de Akropolis, het Erechtheion, was opgedragen aan zowel Zeus als de godin Athene en je gids zal enkele van de prachtige mythologie en belangrijkste aspecten ervan belichten, zoals de indrukwekkende beelden die je nu in het museum zult zien.
Dit prachtige marmeren amfitheater werd in 161 na Christus gebouwd door Herodes Atticus ter nagedachtenis aan zijn vrouw en doet tot op de dag van vandaag dienst als theater.
JE TOUR BEËINDIGEN. Na afloop laat je gids je achter in de Akropolis zodat je meer tijd hebt om van het uitzicht te genieten en foto's te maken. Als je een touroptie hebt gekozen die doorgaat naar een tweede site, ga je verder met je gids, eindigend bij je tweede site.
BOEKINGSMOGELIJKHEDEN : ACROPOLIS Golden-Light Tour. Als u voor deze boekingsoptie kiest, wordt uw tour getimed naar de beroemde speciale effecten van het lage licht op het plateau van de Akropolis. ACROPOLIS Tour op maat van 3 uur. Als u deze optie kiest, wordt uw privé Akropolis-tour uitgebreid met een andere locatie naar keuze, zoals het Akropolismuseum, de oude Agora of de wijk Plaka. This was the best tour EVER! One of the highlights of our week in Greece! We went to the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora. Our tour guide, Michael, was absolutely fantastic. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable-and hilarious!! As a history buff, I love learning the details, but I know history can feel dry for some people. Not with Michael! He brought the stories to life, kept us engaged the entire time, and had us laughing throughout the tour. We had so much fun getting to know him while learning about Greece’s rich history. I’ve been on several private tours throughout Europe, and this was by far my favorite-largely because of Michael. If you’re visiting Athens, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Michael.
