Begin je reis bij Radio Kaikan, een legendarische toren van acht verdiepingen die Akihabara sinds 1962 kenmerkt. Glazen koffers boordevol bewerkte figuren, plastic modellen en limited editions van One Piece, Gundam en SPY×FAMILY. Je Gids deelt verhalen achter personages, tips voor het spotten van authentieke voorwerpen en wijst op zeldzame vondsten. Spring vervolgens in de beroemde Japanse arcade Mario Kart. Race met kleurrijke tracks, ontketen items en vecht met vrienden om de eerste plaats. Kosei was fantastic. We did the Electric City Walking tour. He is super helpful and a very nice person. This tour with him is great even if you are not necessarily into anime or gaming. Just to experience the district with a native. Like a European football game - even if you don't follow the sport exactly.

This was a great experience. We would not have found these places in Akihabara on our own. Our warm and friendly guides were knowledgeable, happy to answer our questions, took us to play vintage arcade games; shop the best range of vintage games and consoles we have ever seen; to an incredible anime store with figurines for every individual’s interest and even to play Mario Karts and try Japanese confectionery.
