De Taj Mahal werd gebouwd door de Mogolkeizer Shah Jahan ter nagedachtenis aan zijn geliefde vrouw Mumtaz Mahal. Haar echte naam was Arjumand Bano Begum, en ze kreeg de titel "Mumtaz Mahal", wat "kroon van het paleis" betekent. Het duurde 22 jaar om dit prachtige monument te voltooien. De Taj Mahal is beroemd om zijn prachtige ontwerp en gedetailleerde kunstwerken, vooral het inlegwerk met halfedelstenen gezet in wit marmer. Als je de kans krijgt, probeer dan een bezoek tijdens zonsopgang of zonsondergang. De veranderende kleuren van het marmer op die momenten zijn perfect voor het maken van geweldige, Instagram-waardige foto's. Om tijd te besparen bij de veiligheidscontrole is het een goed idee om minder spullen mee te nemen als je voor de rondleiding komt.
Agra Fort verwelkomt u met zijn grootse uitstraling en hoge muren die 2,5 kilometer lang zijn. Binnen vind je verschillende prachtige paleizen gebouwd door verschillende Mogolkeizers. Enkele van de bekendste zijn Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Musamman Burj, Khas Mahal en Jahangiri Mahal. The tour was perfect. Moses was a great guide! He's very knowledgeable and nice. Shared a lot of interesting facts about Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and it was the best decision to book this tour. He also took great fotos from us and brought us to a nice breakfast place with a view to Taj Mahal. Thanks a lot Moses!! What a great cookery class, which we booked only the day before. John and his lovely family welcomed us into his home and gave us a wonderful experience. Our teenage boys had so much fun and took careful notes to practice at home! Highly recommended course and something a little different in Agra for teens who tend to find too many palaces and monuments a drag! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Highly recommend to see Agra with Moses on this fabulous walking tour. Discovered the spice markets, temples and sampled local foods and chai tea. Moses is warm and engaging and is lots of fun.
This was probably the best tour I ever had of a city. Not only was my friend and guide Moses so nice and fun, he also knew incredibly much about the history and culture of Agra and India in general. He made sure that I experienced the true Agra flavours while taking me to an amazing street food evening tour, with various food samples, and I even was invited to his house, to have dinner with his family, which was such an incredible experience. Moses showed me things aside from the typical touristic Agra, it was a delight discovering beautiful alleys and places that only a local would know about. We went to visit Taj Mahal together, and told me so many interesting details about the place, that I wouldn’t know them otherwise. And... on top of this things... except his wonderful presence in this trip I had to Agra, Moses is the best private photographer!!! He has a vast experience in helping Instagram and Facebook very known influencers taking their best shots of Taj Mahal and the surroundings. He takes you to wonderful places around Taj, view points, not known by other tourists, and helps you take your best shots... not to mention the best views you have around Taj Mahal and not only. Boat tour was amazing! I promise Moses, next time I’m coming to Agra, I’m having the bike tour also! Thank you!!
My husband and I went with Moses for our unforgettable experience walking in the old parts of Agra and the markets. We walked through the spice markets and sampled some local street food. Moses introduced us to some shop owners and we saw some amazing produce.
