Zijn passie voor het delen van het Tibetaanse erfgoed zorgt voor een verrijkende ontdekkingstocht. * We bezoeken een prachtig Tibetaans boeddhistisch klooster. * Ontdek het kloosterleven: bezoek een prachtig boeddhistisch klooster en ontmoet een jonge monnik die graag inzichten wil delen in het kloosterleven en onderwijs. * Interactieve ervaring: stel gerust vragen om uw begrip van de boeddhistische tradities en het dagelijkse leven van de monniken te verdiepen. * Leg het moment vast: u bent van harte welkom om tijdens uw bezoek foto's en video's te maken, waarbij u de serene schoonheid van het klooster en zijn omgeving vastlegt.
Onze gasten zullen een ander boeddhistisch klooster bezoeken dat zich in het Tibetaanse dorp bevindt: daar zullen onze gasten het middaggebed bijwonen terwijl ze zingen met de monniken en de hoorns, trommels, schelphoorn, trompet, bel, enz. horen die tijdens het gebed worden gebruikt.
* In dit Tibetaanse dorp bezoeken we het huis van een Tibetaanse familie en proeven we traditioneel Tibetaans eten. * Onze gids, dhr. Thupten, introduceert je in de heerlijke wereld van Tibetaans eten en vertelt je over de geschiedenis en culturele betekenis van elk gerecht. * Geniet van traditioneel Tibetaans eten en dompel jezelf onder in de warmte en gastvrijheid van een Tibetaanse familie. * Kom erachter wanneer en hoe ze naar Nepal kwamen, de problemen waarmee ze te maken kregen bij hun aankomst en hoe ze, ondanks deze moeilijkheden, hun Tibetaanse taal, cultuur en identiteit succesvol hebben behouden. * Dit is een unieke kans om authentieke Tibetaanse smaken te proeven en tegelijkertijd een diepere waardering te krijgen voor de cultuur en tradities achter het eten.

Wij bieden gratis pick-up en drop-off diensten voor gasten die verblijven in hotels in het Lakeside gebied. Voor hotels buiten Lakeside geldt een kleine extra transporttoeslag op basis van de locatie van het hotel. U wordt vriendelijk verzocht uw hotelnaam en kamernummer door te geven na het reserveren. Eventuele transportkosten kunnen direct na de tour worden betaald.

Amazing experience with a mix of identity, philosophy and the daily lives the refugees have carved out or themselves. Questions are encouraged and answered no matter how diverse. Hearing directly from a monk in a beautiful setting was enchanting. Would thoroughly recommend and it's among the best chance of seeing Tibetan you will have

Our cultural day tour was excellent. Our guide was so knowledgeable and made it so interesting and fun. Would happily recommend this tour and guide to anyone. Thupten, our tour guide gave us a realistic experience of Tibetan culture & life. He is very knowledgeable & friendly. He has excellent command on Buddhism & its many spiritual facets. We were very impressed & thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The visit to the monastery was a wonderful highlight. Sewang , the Buddhist monk gave us an understanding of life in the monastery & becoming aware of our own spirituality. A lovely meal at one of the local Tibetan households completed this very lovely tour. A huge thanks to the whole team.

We could listen to Thupten all day. He is a very warm and friendly man, who can convey a lot of knowledge and experiences about Tibet and about Buddhism in very good English. This wasn’t your typical tour. I had the chance to talk with a Buddhist monk, and our deep conversation made me want to study Buddhism. Thupten is a great storyteller—he shared the Tibetan way of life so vividly that I could imagine everything clearly, like a teacher narrating a story to grade-school pupils. Highly recommended!

Thupten was such an amazing guide. I did the half day tour and I learned so much about Tibetan Buddhism and the Tibetan people. The monasteries we visited were beautiful and to be able to talk with a Buddhist monk was so special. We were able to ask questions and I feel so grateful to have that time with him.
