Advanced Open Water Course - Advanced Certification in Tulamben

A huge thank you to Johana for having us discover the Dive Concept center! I was able to get my Nitrox certification with her; it was a very beautiful experience. Johanna was very educational and patient. A gem!!! A big thank you to Yohan as well, who had me take the Advanced training. He had me discover magnificent places, I felt very well supervised, and he managed to make me feel confident. I really had an excellent time with him.

I had come to only do my open water, but in the end, the place, the center, and Jérôme the instructor were top-notch! I decided to take my advanced course and everything went very well. Unforgettable experience, I highly recommend it for all the French who come to Amed!

I passed the Advance certification with Rémi. The training was perfect, and Rémi has very good advice. Beyond the certification, the entire team is top-notch, whether it's the instructors or the dive masters like Kevin. Don't hesitate to go, especially since they have the best prices in Bali.

Completed my Open Water and Advanced courses with Jerome! Had such a fun and memorable experience, he was incredibly patient, great vibes, and always put safety first. 🐠✨

My experience at Dive Concepts Tulamben was terrible. I booked the 7 day dive safari which began in Tulamben and ended in Lembongan. The business was keen for me to do the Advanced Open Water as a free add-on to the safari. Had I known now what I knew then I would not do the training here and would steer clear of this business altogether. They were aware I was arriving late and commenced day one on four hours sleep. I last went diving five years ago so was pretty rusty and extremely tired. I had a male French instructor whose disdain for me was apparent from the get-go. Rather than slow down and repeat things for me, he rolled his eyes and sneered. On day one we completed four dives and I was nearly in tears by the end of the day because I kept making mistakes. Blame it on fatigue and it being so long between dives but the instructor made the experience absolutely horrible. On day two he screamed at me "are you f****** stupid, do you want to die?" He watched me struggle to get down to the shore and safely into the water with the gear on my back, never offering to lend me a hand or ask if I needed any assistance. If I had not been alone in a foreign country I would have left early but seeing as I paid over $2000 AUD for the "safari" I had to stick it out. The gear they hire is old and in poor condition. Wetsuits have holes and the regulators leaked. Over in Lembongan the crew were much more helpful but the same issues with the equipment prevailed. All transfers, food and accommodation was inlcuded in the "safari" and it was very average for the price. In all honesty, I am sure there are much better dive operators in Bali, despite the business saying they are the best scuba diving operators in the country.

Please identify Jani! Very reliable coach and you can definitely trust his professionalism! It also helps us with fish that don't come easily during night diving and daytime diving, and with his help I slowly relax and enjoy my time in the sea.

Had a great time at Dive Concepts, the whole crew from the drivers to the instructors are amazing! I have 3 people that I would like to specifically mention, our instructor Fikri, our divemaster James and the driver who drove us around most of the time and we had some nice chats with, Zen! Did my Advance adventure course here with Fikri! Had a great time with him learning new skills while doing night dive and deep dive. I always have problems with equalizing so he had to stop and wait for me often but he was very kind and patient the whole time.
