Bezoek de Vallei der Koningen, ook wel bekend als de Vallei der Poorten der Koningen. Deze iconische plek diende bijna 500 jaar als koninklijke begraafplaats tijdens de periode van het Nieuwe Koninkrijk, van de achttiende tot de twintigste dynastie. Deze heilige vallei is uitgehouwen in de kliffen van een woestijnwadi op de westelijke oever van de Nijl – direct tegenover het oude Thebe (het huidige Luxor) – en is de laatste rustplaats van farao's en machtige edelen. Genesteld in de Thebaanse Necropolis, is de Vallei de thuisbasis van enkele van de mooiste versierde graven in Egypte, met ingewikkelde muurschilderingen en hiërogliefen die duizenden jaren hebben overleefd. Ga vervolgens naar de Memnon Colossi om de massieve stenen beelden van farao Amenhotep III te aanschouwen.

We had booked the private tour to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of the Dead of Hatshepsut through the hotel. We really wanted a German speaking tour guide and got FAYEZ MANSHEY. He did a really great job! Very much explained, has responded to our wishes. Without hustle and bustle and without pressure even if it took our grown son longer to explore everything very closely. We spontaneously decided to visit more graves in the Valley of the Dead and also the Temple of the Dead of Ramesses III. It wasn't a problem!
I highly recommend Nasco Tours Luxor if you are looking for a tour operator in the area. After checking into the Luxor Hilton we met with Mr. Ahmed Zein and arranged a tour of the West Bank sites (Valley of the Kings/ Valley of the Workers/ Hatshepsut Temple/ Habu Temple) we were met with an excellent guide Mrs. Nermeen, she was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The hospitality we felt and carefully curated experience made our time in Luxor unforgettable.
Nice tour to the tombs and temples. Samira guided us smoothly and with expert explanations through all tombs and temples, also she arranged neat tickets and transport. The Valley of the kings was superlative. However, the true treat of the tour was the tour guide (George). From being an expert on any Egyptian history questions, answering cultural curiosities, or assisting us with travel arrangements in the luxor train station, he was nothing short of amazing. He's a fluent speak in English, and has advanced degrees. His efforts made the tour as memorable as the valley of the kings itself. In terms of the tour, it was very cost friendly and packed with information. Timing was flexible, as were locations. The car was a brand new luxury vehicle that was spotless, had air conditioning, and black out curtains in the back. The driver was great ( I can't recall his name). When I return to Egypt, I'll make an effort to only book tours with Nasco tours.
We visited the temple and the valley of king, super tour guide Mary and good driver Sayed. It’s the best choice to choose them, cheap and pleasant with super nice car and big space.
What a beautiful tour! Mary was an excellent hostess and took us to the most important and incredibly preserved sites. We felt so lucky to have her wealth of information and her kind heart guiding us through the desert!
I had a fantastic time! My guide Hassan Capo was incredibly friendly and attentive. He told me many interesting things about the tombs and temples we visited. The tour was planed very well by Mr. Mohammed Badawy.
