Tiny Table Tours is opgericht door een bekende lokale foodjournalist, en die relaties vormen de kern van onze tours. We delen verhalen verzameld uit één-op-één interviews met ondernemers en chef-koks die je een persoonlijke kijk geven op South Philadelphia. Onze gidsen zijn diep ondergedompeld in de Philly food en dining scene, waardoor je een diep persoonlijke ervaring krijgt. De tour omvat zes hapjes eten, waaronder zoete lekkernijen, een Vietnamese sandwich, taco's en meer. We zullen het hebben over (maar niet eten van) kaassteaks, en u kennis laten maken met multigenerationele familiebedrijven. We delen ook onze spiekbrief: een lijst met aanbevelingen voor bars, restaurants en andere leuke activiteiten in de stad. Al met al lopen we ongeveer 1 mijl in 2,5 uur, dus kom voorbereid. We kunnen gemakkelijk tegemoetkomen aan vegetariërs en pescatarians met voorafgaande kennisgeving. Laat het ons weten als u/iemand in uw groep dieetbeperkingen heeft waarvan we op de hoogte moeten zijn.

Columbus Square Park is een buurtverzamelplaats in de wijk Passyunk in South Philly. We ontmoeten elkaar en verzamelen de groep, bezoeken dan een bakkerij, praten over de verborgen geschiedenis van de uitvinding van de Philly cheesesteak, bespreken Philly's cultuur van openbare kunst en leren een minder bekend deel van South Philly kennen.
Washington Avenue, ooit de thuisbasis van industriële pakhuizen, is een scheidslijn geworden voor de stad en is de thuisbasis van enkele van onze favoriete restaurants in de stad. We bezoeken een legendarische Vietnamese bakkerij en een al lang bestaand Mexicaans restaurant met enkele van de beste taco's in de stad.
Een van de langst openstaande openluchtmarkten in de Verenigde Staten, waar de lokale bevolking nog steeds boodschappen doet en veel restaurants ingrediënten kopen. Je hoort verhalen over de bedrijven in dit gebied, bezoekt een Italiaanse bakkerij van de vierde generatie, een nieuwe joodse smakelijke winkel en hebt wat tijd om te winkelen op de markt. We eindigen met een glas wijn uit een serie wijn in beperkte oplage, gemaakt met steun van een van de oudste bedrijven van de Italiaanse markt.

We had a fantastic tour of South Philly food scene with Jackie. She was so great on the history of the area along with each place we stopped at. We loved each stop and also given some free time around the Italian Market. Jackie was so knowlegable about the history of the immigrants moving into the area from Italy and the Eastern European countries. and also how they came to the United States to make a differnce for themselves and start these new business. So many fmily business that have veen around for many generatios. I highly reccomend this food tour, especially if you are new to Philadelphia. Thank you Jackie

Jackie was our guide, and she was great! I had been on another South Phila. Food Tour, but this tour went to different places- we tasted Vietnamese food, Mexican food, Jewish specialties, wine, Mighty Bread, and even an Isgrow Canolli! Everything was delicious, and it was fun learning the history behind the Italian Market. I highly recommend it for a fun and delicious time!

This was one of my favorite tours I’ve ever done. Tour guide was super educational but also made the group feel cohesive. The food was delicious and I love that they gave out an additional guide to Philly restaurant at the end. The price felt very fair! Group was small, which I also liked.

Excellent tour, food sampling, and tour guide! Great background history of Philadelphia and the Italian market to provide context for the foods. Nice small group of people. There is A LOT of walking on this tour- we clocked over 3 miles. Worth the walking though! Great selections

Thanks so much! One of my favorite parts of the tour is the restaurant where we stop halfway through, where guests can relax, hydrate, and even have a cocktail if they want!
