Verken de bruisende hoofdstad van Ghana met ons professioneel opgeleide personeel. Bezoek de uniek ontworpen kistwinkel, Osu Castle en het Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Bezoek Old Accra dat werd verdeeld in Nederlands en Brits Accra als gevolg van de twee Europese kolonisatoren die opereerden vanuit verschillende locaties binnen dezelfde township van iets minder dan 1 vierkante kilometer. Rijd langs James Fort gebouwd door de Britten in 1662, Old Accra Square en het postkantoor. Zie Ussher Fort, een van de drie Europese forten in Accra die de tijd hebben overleefd. Je laatste stop tijdens de tour is de Arts and Crafts-markt, waar je je onderhandelingsvaardigheden kunt uitproberen bij de lokale verkoper

Begin aan een stadstour van een halve / hele dag door Accra en bezoek het Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, de laatste rustplaats van Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, de eerste president van Ghana. Het Mausoleum is bezocht door vele hoogwaardigheidsbekleders van de wereld.
Stop bij het Onafhankelijkheidsplein, het ceremoniële terrein van Accra waar alle nationale vieringen worden gehouden, voor een fotomoment.
Bezoek de uniek ontworpen kistenwinkel waar kisten worden geproduceerd op basis van het Afrikaanse geloof van leven na de dood. Daarom zijn kisten ontworpen om het aardse beroep van de overledene te weerspiegelen met de overtuiging dat ze dit beroep in de andere wereld kunnen blijven uitoefenen. Zo wordt een buschauffeur in een bus begraven, een leraar in een boek, een dokter in een spuit, enz.

We had an excellent experince with Modesta as our guide and Michael our driver. My Uncle isn't that mobile and they took great care and consideration of this. Modesta is so knowledgeable and she goes the extra mile with snippets of information about life in Ghana as you travel between your touristic venues. I highly recommend Hausa Tours and if you should be lucky enough to get Modesta you will find her to be so charming and she goes the extra for you.

Even though I have been to Accra many times , had never taken the time to visit the key tourist spots. The Accra city tour brought the city to life in a way we hadn’t experienced before from Jamestown to Independence square , the museum , Nkrumah memorial and the craft market to name a few . The bus was well air conditioned and comfortable, the tour guide very pleasant and knowledgeable. He made sure that we got guided tours at every location which provided additional insight . Learned a lot about Ghanaian history and culture especially the links to Nigeria - i.e. The Gan’s were originally from Ile ife in Nigeria !

Our tour guide extraordinaire Fuseini Nawarui and the staff of Hausa Tours were the best. We were pampered and educated on the customs and traditions of Ghanian culture. From Accra to Kumasi and Cape Coast and areas in between. Many of us that have read about or have connections were able to rekindle our spirit each and every day of this 10 day tour. The foods were excellent but most of all the hospitality and genuine attention of the people to our visit was second to none. This was our initial visit and we are planning on returning soon.
