Academies 3 stars, Caf Tours 0
This tour gets 3 stars instead of 1 because we did get to see David. We wanted the early time to beat some crowds and get to another tour same morning. We were told to meet at a certain spot 15 min early to receive our tickets and skip the line. The person was late and barely spoke English. We were told her associate was going to get our tickets. We were finally given tickets and told to go over there to the red line. By this time, the line was wrapped around the block. There was no skipping the line. Very disappointed with the service received after paying a premium for the tickets. We did get to see David and that was well worth it, but Caf tours I would never use again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify that September is one of the busiest periods of the year in Florence, and the Accademia Gallery can be particularly crowded. The service purchased was not a “skip-the-line” ticket, but a timed-entry ticket for a reserved entrance time.
Our assistants delivered the tickets on time and directed you to the dedicated line for visitors with reserved tickets, in accordance with the Gallery’s entrance procedure. Even with a timed reservation, some waiting may still occur during peak season due to security checks and the high number of visitors.
We are nevertheless glad that you were able to visit the Gallery and see Michelangelo’s David.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Accademia Gallery was a good experience, mainly because of the famous David statue by Michelangelo. Seeing the statue in real life was really impressive, and it was definitely the main highlight of my visit. It’s amazing to see the amount of detail up close and understand why it’s such a famous piece of art.
Compared to the Uffizi Gallery, I felt like there wasn’t as much to see, so the visit was shorter. There is an admission fee, but I think it’s worth it if you’re in Florence and want to see David in person. The atmosphere was quite calm and focused on the artwork, although there were plenty of visitors around the main statue.
I visited solo and enjoyed being able to take my time looking around. The staff were helpful enough, and the gallery was easy to explore. I’d recommend it especially for solo travellers, art lovers, history lovers and anyone visiting Florence who wants to see Michelangelo’s David. Even though there isn’t as much to see compared with some other galleries, seeing David in person makes the visit worthwhile.

David is truly amazing!
We did the skip-the-line tickets and got right in. David is truly amazing. There was part of the museum that I think everyone missed as there was literally no one in that entire section.

Absolutely do not get this ticket. It serves no value at all. Book the ticket thru the museum directly. We essentially picked up our ticket and stood in the same line as all the others. The David is the only well known art, most is religious icons-beautiful but seen everywhere in Florence.

Dear Laura,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify that, as indicated in the description, highlights, and inclusions, this ticket provides timed entry with priority access, meaning you can skip the general admission ticket purchase lines. Upon arrival, a host is available near the entrance to assist with ticket collection and ensure a smooth start to your visit. However, please note that all visitors are required to pass through security checks, which can result in some waiting time regardless of the type of ticket.
Regarding the museum itself, while Michelangelo’s David is certainly the most iconic masterpiece, the Accademia Gallery also houses an important collection of Renaissance works that many visitors find highly valuable and enriching.
We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us improve communication and set clearer expectations, and we hope you were still able to enjoy part of your visit.
Warm regards

Would not choose this tour
Booking wasn’t confirmed but we got charged anyway. Then the tour guide didn’t show with no communication whatsoever. Poor communication and I had to request a refund

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to read about the inconvenience you describe. Unfortunately, without any booking reference or specific details, we’re not able to verify or investigate what may have occurred in your case.
We would also like to gently clarify that the experience you booked does not include a guided tour. It provides assistance at the meeting point, where our staff delivers your pre-booked timed-entry tickets. On the day in question, our assistant was regularly present at the agreed meeting point.
For this reason, we believe there may have been some confusion and that your review could refer to a different provider. If you’d like to share more details with us, we would be more than happy to look into this further and assist you.
Warm regards

Late Start
Our start time was delayed because the staff did not have the information for ticketing organized in a way that met the needs of all the customers.
Reactie van de operator
Dear Jessica,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the delay at the start of your visit.
As indicated, during high season some delays may occur due to the large number of visitors. On that particular morning, there was a slight delay from the museum in releasing the tickets, which resulted in entry approximately 10 minutes after the reserved time.
We understand this may have been inconvenient and sincerely apologize. Unfortunately, this is something that can occasionally happen during peak periods due to the high demand at the Accademia Gallery.
We appreciate your understanding and hope you still enjoyed your visit.
Warm regards from Florence

Accademia Gallery
A must see nothing more impressive than the David. The Rape of the Sabine will bring tears to your eyes. You must educate yourself about Michelangelo’s prisoners then visit each one of them.
