Asenema Waterval (soms gespeld als Assema Waterval) is een van de verborgen natuurlijke attracties van de oostelijke regio van Ghana. Gelegen in de buurt van Akropong in de Akuapem Hills, het is ongeveer 1,5 uur rijden van Accra, waardoor het een ideale dagtrip bestemming is. Een rustige waterval omgeven door weelderige tropische bossen. * Een gemakkelijke 5 - minuten lopen van de weg naar de watervallen. * Perfect voor natuurfotografie en ontspanning. * Een ondiep zwembad waar bezoekers kunnen afkoelen. * Schilderachtige rit door de prachtige Akuapem Hills. Beste reistijd De waterval is op zijn spectaculairst tijdens het regenseizoen (april-juli) wanneer de waterstroom het sterkst is. Het blijft het hele jaar door een aangename bestemming, hoewel de stroming meestal lichter is tijdens het droge seizoen.
Aburi Botanic Garden heeft door de jaren heen vele rollen gehad, waaronder het introduceren van planten en het onderwijzen van wetenschappelijke landbouwmethoden, maar vandaag de dag is het een van de vele instellingen die de strijd leiden om de diversiteit van planten te redden door middel van onderzoek, het kweken van bedreigde planten, plantenvermenigvuldiging, tuinbouwtraining en milieueducatie

The garden and waterfall were so beautiful and the cocoa farm was such a great learning experience. Hotel pickup and drop off are included and I felt safe as a solo woman traveler.

I toured the gardens, cocoa farm and Asenema falls as the Boti falls were closed. Moses was a great driver and guide who provided ample information about the sights , Accra and Ghana, including history and culture. The local guides at the gardens and farm were also great. I enjoyed the tour and recommend it.

Eben is literally a wealth of knowledge. We started the day at the Aburi Garden, we got to learn so much about the different plants and trees (even got to taste some), so cool! Then we did the cocoa farm, I never knew that Ghana was such a massive producer of Cocoa. We got to see a live demonstration of how they are harvested, dried, and prepared for manufacturing. We learned so much history about the guy that started the farm and how cool that 2 of the original trees planted back in the 1800s were still there producing. We then headed to the waterfall, and wow, it was so much fun! We got in, played in the water, and just soaked in all of God’s wonder. The entire trip, Eben is giving us historical and cultural context, was playing as our content creator (we got so many good pictures! This literally was the best icing on the cake), took us to the BEST local restaurant after, like the food was soooooo good (Ayede Pan). The ride felt safe for a family with young children, the trip was extraordinary, and Eben is literally so passionate about his work, you can’t help but have fun with him as your guide!

We went on the Boti Waterfalls, Aburi Gardens, and Cocoa Farm day tour with EAA Tours Ghana, and our guide was Eben (Eben De Tour Guide GH). He was absolutely excellent — knowledgeable, polite, punctual, and very helpful. He had great energy throughout the day and drove us in a very nice, comfortable car.
