Vaar door de rustige grachten van Thonburi en zie een kant van Bangkok die veel bezoekers missen. Onderweg kom je langs lokale huizen, kleine tempels en alledaagse taferelen op het water. Bezoek Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen om het enorme Boeddhabeeld te bewonderen, ga dan verder naar een lokale drijvende markt (alleen in het weekend), het Artist House voor een korte wandeling en een drankje bij het kanaal, of kies uit andere mogelijke stops langs de route. In Wat Nang Chee Chotikaram, een oude tempel uit het Ayutthaya-tijdperk die bekend staat om zijn lange traditie, wordt elk jaar in november de jaarlijkse “Chak Phra”-processie gehouden.
(STOP 30 MINUTEN) Ontdek Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, de thuisbasis van Bangkok's hoogste Big Buddha. Verken de prachtige witte pagode, een rustige glazen pagode binnen en een museum vol Thaise kunst en geschiedenis. Een must-visit tempel met een prachtig uitzicht en cultuur!
Wat Paknam South Side is een kleine tempel bij het kanaal. we stoppen om de vissen te voeren – de Thaise mensen geloven dat het geluk en een goede gezondheid brengt. Vandaag maakten we ons eigen visvoer, dus hielpen we ook de tempel en de lokale bevolking.
Khlong Bangkok Yai was ooit een hoofdrivier van het oude Bangkok. Tegenwoordig is het een rustig kanaal waar je tempels, oude huizen en het lokale leven langs het water kunt zien. Een prachtige plek om het verleden van Bangkok te verkennen.
Khlong Bang Chueak Nang is een klein, rustig kanaal met lokale huizen langs het water. Als je geluk hebt, zie je misschien mensen goederen verkopen per boot en zie je een watermonitorhagedis voorbij zwemmen. Een rustige plek vol lokale charme.
Wat Saphan Floating Market (alleen in het weekend geopend voor het tourboek voor 13.00 uur) Het is een lokale markt met smakelijk Thais eten, vers fruit en groenten van lokale boerderijen en leuke souvenirs om mee naar huis te nemen.
(STOP 30 MINUTEN) Baan Silapin (Artist's House) is in de oude Bang Luang kanaal gemeenschap. Dit gebied was ooit een drukke watermarkt. Vandaag de dag is het een culturele plek waar je oude houten huizen kunt zien, doe-het-zelfactiviteiten kunt proberen en kunt genieten van eten en koffie aan het water.
Flexibele drop-off: Na de tour kunt u kiezen waar u wilt eindigen – verblijf bij een tempel, markt of ga terug naar een BTS- of MRT-station. Vertel uw bootchauffeur gewoon wat uw voorkeur heeft!

This tour was the absolute best way to experience a more local side of Bangkok! Weaving through temples, homes, and the floating market gave a beautiful perspective of the way of life here. The artist’s house was relaxing, and the market was exciting! Our tour was especially incredible because of our guide, Natalie. She was exuberant, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the tour. She was a joy to spend time with and learn from during our journey. I couldn’t recommend booking this tour enough!

The 3hr tour was great. We had a relaxing time seeing a different part of Bangkok. The tour was well planned and the boat was nice and comfy. What an incredible day exploring Bangkok's hidden canals with Ja-Oh as our guide! From the moment we met, her warm smile and infectious energy made us feel right at home. Ja-Oh grew up on the canal, so her knowledge is truly deep and authentic – she shared fascinating stories about the history, daily life along the waterways, and little details that no guidebook could ever capture. We wandered vibrant local markets, sampled delicious treats from floating food boats, and got a real glimpse into traditional Thai life away from the tourist crowds. Ja-Oh is fun, thoughtful, and genuinely caring – she tailored the day perfectly to our interests and shared personal anecdotes that had us laughing nonstop. She has the best laugh ever! We booked a private 3-hour canal boat tour for 7 people to the Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market, Big Buddha and the stunning Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen temple – and it turned out to be even better than we expected! The tour was very well organized, the team was super flexible with our wishes, and they even took us to our next requested destination at the end. In fact, the tour lasted longer than scheduled, which was such a nice bonus. What made the experience truly special was Natalie, who took such wonderful care of us. She shared lots of fascinating facts about the sights and Thai culture, and joined us at the food market to try many delicious snacks together. This was an absolutely perfect day on the canals, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangkok. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!
It was a truly memorable trip with our 4 kids. Private boat for 6, did all the normal sightseeing stuff but beyond that we got a good look and explanation on Bangkok from the river. young and old, poor and rich, villa's and ruins. Great learning experience in multiple ways.
