Een mooie rit over de Blue Ridge Parkway brengt ons bij onze eerste twee stops. We beginnen bij een adembenemend uitzicht op de bergen met panoramisch uitzicht, plus handige toiletten en een cadeauwinkel met snacks. Van daaruit gaan we verder naar Pisgah National Forest om een prachtige waterval langs de weg te bezoeken die geen wandelen vereist, maar met de optie om een korte, matige wandeling te maken naar een tweede waterval in de buurt.
Een korte rit van de watervallen brengt ons naar het charmante bergstadje Brevard. Hier heb je vrije tijd om te lunchen in een van de uitstekende lokale restaurants van de stad en de unieke winkels, bakkerijen, koffietentjes, kunstgaleries en het museum te verkennen. Ik zal lokale inzichten delen en favoriete etablissementen aanbevelen, waarna ik je de ruimte geef om in je eigen tempo te verkennen, terwijl je altijd beschikbaar bent als je begeleiding of hulp wilt. Als we Brevard verlaten stoppen we bij Brevard College om te kijken of we de lokale witte eekhoorns kunnen spotten.
Onze eindbestemming is Hendersonville, de thuisbasis van de op één na grootste binnenstad in het westen van North Carolina, direct na Asheville. Dit levendige gebied zit boordevol activiteiten, bezienswaardigheden en smaken om van te genieten. Wandel door de prachtig aangelegde Main Street, met meer dan 100 winkels en 25 restaurants, vindt u een heerlijke mix van lokale, hoogwaardige winkels en galeries om te verkennen. Naast de bruisende binnenstad biedt Hendersonville verschillende gratis musea. We kunnen vooraf uw specifieke interesses bespreken en de haltes afstemmen op u en uw gasten. Vanuit Hendersonville gaan we terug naar het Asheville gebied.

Ik pik reizigers op van hun accommodatielocatie als het binnen 15 mijl van het centrum van Asheville is en geen vierwielaandrijving vereist. Als het verder weg is zullen we elkaar ontmoeten bij het Visitor Center op Montford Avenue in Asheville of reizigers kunnen een kleine vergoeding betalen voor het ophalen indien buiten de limiet.

My friends and I decided to visit Asheville for the very first time and we did not want to rent a car. We looked for different tour options, and we chanced upon this "Customizable Private Day Trips our of Asheville" in Viator. At first, we liked it because it was private, and we did not have to be with a group of strangers. We liked the idea that we could customize the tour based on our preferences. However, as we planned the trip, we were just amazed on how it evolved and exceeded our expectations! Jacque, the owner, was a treasure of information on the countless places we can visit. She answered all our pre-trip questions in a very timely manner and made sure that we were happy with our choices. Jacque showed up on time with a big smile and a shared excitement for the day. And yes, her car was very clean and comfortable! She was very thorough in giving information, history, and insights on the many places of interests during our tour. Her planning was perfect, and she was proactive in anticipating our needs. For the entire day, it felt like traveling the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, Brevard, and Hendersonville with another friend. She was very cordial, a pleasure to be with, and eager to make the experience fun and memorable. At the end of the day, our hearts were full, touched by both the breathtaking beauty of Asheville, and the blessing of having such a hospitable, knowledgeable, and professional guide. If you are considering a visit to Asheville, look no further. This was the best decision and frankly, the best part of our Asheville trip. Thank you so much, Jacque! The tour was exceptional and Jacque our tour guide was fantastic. She took her time as we toured the different areas. I would seriously recommend taking this tour. My husband and I would have never been able to see all that we did without the tour. Well worth the money and day.

We spent a full day exploring Asheville with Jacque from Outta Asheville, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment she picked us up, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable local friend who genuinely loves sharing the area. Jacque has a great way of tailoring the day as you go—she really listens and adjusts based on what catches your interest. Because of that, everything we did felt personal rather than planned. She also came prepared with thoughtful touches that made the day easy and comfortable, which didn’t go unnoticed. One thing I especially appreciated was her recommendations. She suggested several restaurants, and we chose to have lunch at The Bohemian—it was absolutely delicious. Clearly, she knows the area inside and out. What really stood out, though, was that her care didn’t end when the tour did. Later that day, she followed up with even more personalized suggestions for places we might enjoy during the rest of our visit, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re visiting Asheville and want a relaxed, customized way to experience it, I would absolutely recommend spending a day with Jacque. It’s a wonderful way to see more than you would on your own and come away with great memories (and great meal suggestions too!).

If you want to spend your day with a knowledgeable, personable and considerate person, Jacque is your person. From talking about the area and looking at waterfalls, suggestions of places to eat, to a surprise trip to a hobby shop we were able to get everything in our day.

Jacque was amazing. She customized our tour exceptionally beyond our expectations. She toured us around many places and stops which we would otherwise have missed. The Blue Ridge mountain stops were amazing, we took our time at several stops and were able to take in the magnificent views. She was friendly, kind and we felt at home. There were snacks, drinks available for us and she was able to throw in some lovely bonus stops as well. Must stop at the Grove Park Inn and the Arboretum which she suggested.
