Benieuwd naar de geschiedenis van Portland met spoorwegen, branden, oorlogen, beroemde dichters en Hollywood-producenten? Ga met ons mee voor een wandeling door de tijd! Deze tour begint in Commercial Street en duurt 2 uur door de historische oude haven, het centrum en de waterkant, met hoogtepunten uit de geschiedenis van Portland sinds 1632. Sommige van de locaties die we tijdens uw tour kunnen aanbieden, zijn; het kreeftstandbeeld, het huis van Henry Wadsworth-Longfellow en zijn gebedsplaats, de Eastern Cemetery, de Abyssinian Church, het U.S. Customs House en meer. *** Tourduur is twee "achtige" uren, gebaseerd op gastbetrokkenheid en tempo van de groep. Het wordt aanbevolen om 2,5 uur te plannen om vroeg aan te komen om in te checken en terug te keren naar uw voertuig na de tour.

Very interesting tour with lots of walking. Our guide gave us a lot of information, fun stories , and took us to much more than typical tourist spots. By the end of the tour we had quite a few recommendations for restaurants and things to do, which really made our trip.
The guide, Ross, was wonderful. He knew the history, the architecture, and so many of the people we passed. He had a great sense of humor, and spent as much time with us as we wanted.
Yanni was a wonderful tour guide. A Portland native, very young but very knowledgeable! Made the tour very enjoyable and made me appreciate and like Portland even more!

We really enjoy a good walking tour when we are visiting a new place to learn about the history. Our guide, Tyler, was as good as it gets. He was so knowledgeable and personable. He kept us engaged and taught us so much about Portland.
Ty was an amazing tour guide! He gave us entertaining stories about Portland history and the various buildings. We wish him the best on his new adventures in Duluth.
The tour was fantastic! Ross was the Best Guide Ever! He's fun, passionate about history and gave us great understanding of the history, culture, quirkiness, art, ghosts, food and sights that are Portland. He took us on a few "behind the scenes" access to historical buildings with interesting history, and pointed out the best views, restaurants and other sights to see based on our interests. He even sang a fun little song for us! (and did a great job) I can't recommend the tour- or Ross, highly enough. We left loving Portland and look forward to going back.
