On Monday, I visited this memorial to the 58,000 brave souls who lost their lives and all those who served. I was particularly interested in learning about my uncle and godfather. It was a privilege to have a tour with a RAF veteran and his son. The guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining, making the experience truly memorable. I want to express my gratitude to all the volunteer guides for their dedication. I was able to clarify some details and I’m delighted to have ordered a plaque to add to their Ribbon of Remembrance. If you’re simply interested or have a personal connection, I highly recommend visiting this memorial.
Dear alanc949 Thank you for your kind review of your visit to the IBCC and for your recommendation. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your complimentary guided tour and you were able to clarify details about your uncle and godfather. Best wishes
We had an afternoon tea booked that included the exhibition, guide book, parking and we also went on the tour. The exhibition was very informative and poignant, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and easy to listen to, very helpful when you are hard of hearing. The afternoon tea itself was amazing, very well presented and deliciously tasty, the staff were so lovely, pleasant and welcoming. The only thing was, that we didn't realise there weren't any planes there but for us that wasn't a problem. Thank you to all for making it a pleasant experience
Dear Wander00725916510 Thank you for your review. I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit and afternoon tea at the centre. As we are a memorial rather than a museum, we do not have any aircraft on site, but I’m pleased this did not detract from your visit. Best wishes
What an amazing experience from start to finish. We had the guide who was very informative and friendly. The admission fee is really good to support this remembrance. We spent several hours here and also visited the cafe which is readonaoalso

This is my 5 visit to IBCC. I have done the tour 3 times and it is never the same….there are lots of interesting facts told and I am forever humbled by the experience. It is always a poignant experience.
Dear Katina J Thank you for your kind review. I'm delighted you have taken full advantage of our free tours and, as you have found out, all our tour guides have different stories to tell. Best wishes
Wow! Thank you for a great morning. We did the guided tour, led by Allan Rowley, who was knowledgeable and interesting. I found the tour informative and emotional, and left feeling very pleased I'd been. Thank you for ensuring the heros, whether flying on on the ground, are remembered. We booked in advance, which reduced the entry fee slightly. The views of Lincoln are amazing from the memorial.
Dear joannabee1965 Thank you for your kind review. I'm delighted you enjoyed your visit to the centre and were also able to appreciate the view from the Spire across to Lincoln Cathedral. Best wishes
When you arrive you see a building set into the area, behind it stands a spire replicating the wings of a Lancaster bomber, a tour of the grounds by a guide explains how the memorial works, and why it's built here in Lincoln. Around the spire are walls of names, each one an airman killed in WW2, not by rank or status or medals earned, just names, as it should be. A place of reflection, remembering those of Bomber Command, who by every Government since the end of the war have been ignored and even refused a campaign medal. These men fought a war, and we're treated unfair. But now we can honour them here. Per Ardua Ad Astra
Dear Kevin S Thank you so much for kind review and for recognising our memorial to those who served in Bomber Command during the Second World War. I am delighted that you found it a fitting tribute to their service and sacrifice. Best wishes
We visited the International Bomber Command Centre today and wanted to express our sincere gratitude. Our guide, Ray, was exceptional; his tone and the depth of his knowledge truly brought the history to life. The exhibition itself is masterfully curated, striking a perfect balance between education and reflection. It was a particularly poignant visit for us, as my wife’s father served in Bomber Command. as a pilot, a trainer, and a trainer of trainers, before returning to operations post-D-Day. Like so many of his generation, he rarely spoke of his service, so seeing the history honored so beautifully meant a great deal to us.
Dear GeorgeM926 Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. I am delighted to hear that your visit to the centre was such a meaningful experience for your both. I am also pleased that our tour guide helped bring the history to life given your wife's father's remarkable service in Bomber Command. I will pass on your kind comments to Ray. Best wishes
