Alexandria History Tours helpt reizigers historische juweeltjes te ontdekken in de oude binnenstad van Alexandrië. We belichten fascinerende gebeurtenissen en verhalen in de rijke geschiedenis van Alexandrië. We beginnen bij het Ramsay House en bespreken de oorsprong van Alexandria, Virginia. William Ramsay was een Schotse koopman en goede vriend van George Washington. Hij was een van de oprichters van Alexandrië. Deze eerste stop bevat een van onze favoriete verborgen juweeltjes. Hint: het verstopt zich in het volle zicht!
Reizigers zullen ontdekken waar de Amerikaanse Revolutie werd geboren. Geen grapje! Twintig jaar voordat de Revolutionaire Oorlog begon, waren er gebeurtenissen in gang die ertoe zouden leiden dat de Amerikaanse koloniën zich onafhankelijk verklaarden.
We stoppen buiten Gadsby's en praten over de connectie met vroege Amerikaanse presidenten. We zullen ook de beroemde ijsput zien!
Het verhaal van het beroemde Spite House wordt verteld. We zullen het beroemde huis zien en ervoor zorgen dat gasten foto's kunnen maken!
Ontdek waar George Washington naar de kerk ging in Alexandrië. Je kunt zelfs in zijn kerkbank zitten.
We passeren het Athenaeum terwijl we door Prince Street lopen en richting Captain's Row gaan. Er is een overvloed aan fascinerende bezienswaardigheden langs blok 200 van Prince Street. Prachtige huizen met verhalen die teruggaan tot de 18e eeuw.

Dit is de laatste stop van de tour en we zullen foto's maken en dicht bij geweldige restaurants zijn!

Very interesting tour with a lot of history. Our tour guide was Jeff was so knowledgeable and showed us so many early pictures of buildings. The church had to be my favorite place. Just loved it!!

Our tour of Alexandria was charming, fun, and fascinating. Jeff was an excellent tour guide, keeping us in the shade, taking us through nearly-tangible historic events as we walked the same streets as Revolutionary patriots, the Founding Fathers, and Civil War soldiers. Old Town contains layers and layers of human experience; Jeff brought it to life with historic photos, fun trivia, terrific stories, and a stroll along the lovely streets of the city.

How lovely & knowledgeable our tour guide was❣️Being a Virginian, I thought I knew the historical facts about the area. Nevertheless, this local guide brought history to life with her accounts. Showing us visuals along the route added to our understanding of what a significant part the splendid Old Town Alexandria area played in history.
