My wife and I went on our honeymoon in Kenya on the 8 day bush and beach safari trip through Apodiformes. It was our first time in Africa together, and first adventure like this. Apodiformes' website didn't have all the information we wanted, so we got in contact with the sales director, Fredrick, and he helped us plan and customize our trip. There were many options of places in Kenya to go to and stay, and Fred helped us choose the right vacation for us through email and WhatsApp messages. Once we got our itinerary planned and quotes we made the decision to book our trip through them. Payment was not what I was used to, being an American, but everything worked out. I paid a 50% deposit upon booking - using a credit card through their software PesaPal (it's a legit site, like Paypal in the US). Fred wanted us to pay our balance with cash upon arrival, but eventually he accepted a second PesaPal payment when we landed in Nairobi. Expect to pay for most items with cash - this is normal in Kenya. And bring cash with you, since not all the local ATMs were accessible and accepted my debit card. Everywhere was eager to exchange foreign currency. After the payment got sorted out, everything else was completely taken care of by Apodiformes. Since we chose to do a private tour, Fred booked our own driver guide, Tom, to take us every stop of the way along the safari portion of the trip. Tom was wonderful, friendly, happy, and fast! We chose to stop at Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara, before flying to Diani Beach. In our experience, each resort we stayed at (which Fred chose for us) were much nicer than what we saw online. We stayed at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, Nakuru Sopa Lodge, and Mara Serena Resort. We stayed at Diania Sea Resort at the beach. All were beautiful and perfect for our trip. As far as excursions go, on top of the Apodiformes payment, we chose to do a boat safari at Lake Naivasha, and bike safari at Hell's Gate NP. Both were amazing and totally worth it. We chose to not take the hot air balloon excursion in Masai Mara, and chose to do a dawn game drive instead. We were happy with our choice because that drive we saw our best wildlife, but other guests who had more time and didn't mind the cost said they enjoyed it very much. The only change we would have made would be to slow down a bit. 5 days was a lot to be moving locations nearly every day, especially considering the best game drives are at dawn. Doing it over I would spend minimum two nights in each location and forgo some afternoon drives to relax at the resorts themselves. Masai Mara was definitely our favorite location, so if you're looking for tradeoffs, make sure to prioritize time there. (For example, the day we were to arrive there, we did a 4+ hr drive all the way around Lake Nakuru, when we wish we went straight there from the Nakuru Sopa Lodge and had an afternoon drive in Masai Mara). Also, no need to stay in Nairobi a day when landing - have your driver pick you up from the airport and head out right on your safari. Flying to and from Diani beach on JamboJet from JKIA was very pleasant, and totally worth the upcharge vs. taking the train to Mombasa.

Honestly the trip was outstanding. We came from Dubai for our honeymoon , Frederick our coordinator did a great job for us, he is super honest , everything he promised us it happened , and honestly it was over our expectations, big big 5 stars ⭐️ for you fred , also i want to thank Kim our beat guide ever , he was sooo nice and he knows everything about wild life and animals , he was so flexible and helpful , his english is super good , he was enjoying with us as well . GUYS! Honestly from our heart , Apodiforme is the best , big 5 stars ⭐️

We were a group of 4 that did a 13-day wildlife and beach holiday tour through Apodiformes Adventures. Prior to our journey we had been in contact with Silas, that replied promptly to all our questions. We arrived in Nairobi in the evening of the 13th of Jan. On arrival there was a long queue at immigrations with only 3 out of 14 desks open for service. It took us around 45 minutes to clear through. Not a good impression for first timers visiting Kenya. We had opted to stay 3 nights in Nairobi, prior to our safari and decided for a driver from the hotel to pick-up us up at the airport. It took some time to spot the driver as all the drivers are waiting outside the terminal for their pick-ups. A good thing to have in mind for future arrivals. After 3 days or on 16th we were promptly picked up at our hotel by our driver/guide, Nelson, that remained with us throughout our journey. Off we went to a mall and met with Silas and paid the remainder of the fee for the trip. Next there was quite a drive to our first stop Enkorok Mara Camp, adjacent to Maasai Mara. The accommodation and food were ok. Maasi Mara park was just fantastic and being able to see all those animals close up was quite an experience. Our next stop was Lake Nakuru Lodge, that was excellent accommodation and good food. There we did the Lake Nakuru park that was ok, seeing rhinos and other animals close up. Off we went and to Amboseli National Park were stayed in Kibo Safari Camp. The stay food there was the best out the three camps we had stayed in. As for animal sightings Maasai Mara stood out in comparison to the 3 parks visited. On our last day of the safari our driver/guide Nelson, took us to Emali train station were embarked to Mombasa via Pinewood Beach Resort, were we stayed for 6 nights. The stay there was outstanding in all aspects. On our last day at Pinewood we were met a driver that took us to Mombasa train station were we took the train to Nairobi via home. We give Apodiformes Adventures our highest rating because. • Communication throughout the planning stage was excellent. • All questions were answered promptly. • Time schedules were spot on and all that had been scheduled was there. • All accommodations were good even though some was better than others. • Our driver/guide Nelson was outstanding and did the utmost to deliver. • We were in good hands throughout the journey. In a nutshell we highly recommend Apodiformes Adventures.
