Prepare yourself for a 45 minute hike in the heat but well worth the reward of the beautiful waterfall(s) experience at the end ! Our guides Omega, Diego and a couple other guides were awesome!!!!

Our experience was great. We are a family of 8, kids were between the ages of 12-17 and this was everyone’s favorite activity. We ended up with private transportation, got there quickly, our driver took excellent care in showing us where to go, took things back to the car for us, was there when it was done, showed us where to go for lunch. The lunch was things like salad, pasta salad, rice, beans, pasta, chicken, pork, French fries, buns. It was served buffet style and came with water. After we finished up our driver took us to another stop where we chose to go in and see some monkeys. It was an added cost but we wanted to do it and there was no pressure. Then we rode back with plenty of time to stop at the port shops. The hike was not challenging at all for myself or kids. My husband didn’t like wearing the water shoes to hike. They take frequent stops along the way so no one gets too overwhelmed. I would have preferred to just keep going but we were with a group of people and some were older. We weren’t part of the massive cruise group, which was nice. Just paired up with a couple of other small groups to head up the hill, I’d say there was maybe 16 of us total. Once at the top we were advised on how to safely jump etc. there was a line when we got to jump so our guide told us to do the water slide and then go back up and jump, which we did. I’m afraid of heights but wanted to have the experience and it was so fun. You just can’t think about the jump and psych yourself out. We had 2 jumps, I think we just did the 1 slide. Everything was so pretty. We also paid for the photos and a sweet guy followed us taking photos along the way. That was worth it in my opinion, otherwise you’re too busy having fun and forget if you risk bringing a phone or camera. The guide showed us many things with plants, fruits and animals on the walk back. It was a great experience, we’d all love to go back.

My wife and I really enjoyed the overall experience of this excursion. We liked the hiking aspect to get to the top of the mountain, and then enjoyed the water, whether sliding, jumping and floating through. The guides were great and communicated through the trip. It is important to note that in the description it says "up to 7 waterfalls" as part of this experience. We were told that this is dependent on the rain fall and water levels, which makes sense, but don't expect that you are going to get 7. I think we only ended up doing 3 or 4. We were also part of a much larger group once we got to the waterfalls. Our booking company only included 3 people, which was nice on our travel to and from, but we were grouped with probably another 100+ people. This made for an extremely large overall group, which resulted in a lot of waiting. We stopped about every 5-10 minutes since we had people of different fitness, then there were long lines to actually do the waterfalls. After our adventure, we enjoyed an awesome lunch. The food was very fresh, and well prepared. It was a great example of the local cuisine. I recognize this isn't the fault of the booking company, but the waterfall was very crowded which made the experience a little less for us. I think we would still do it again, but we would go in with a different mindset.

Do this 1000x over. This was Great and we had a blast! You’ll enjoy every minute of it. Love the locals bin!

Picked up right outside of the port and had a great time. Got a little history and information on the way there and felt very taken care of through the process of checking in and getting started. We do wish there were more jumps and slides but it was a lot of fun! Lunch was so delicious!

Incredible day! We’ve been on a lot of excursions through the years and this was one of our favorites.

Edwin tours is fantastic. Easy communication.! Picked up dropped off at right location. Even showed us a little cocoa and cigar factory at end.! Typical food was great! This is nothing against Edwin tours. But if you are at a resort (not a cruise ship). Keep an eye on cruise ship traffic. The amount of people at the falls made the excursion less fun. Book your excursion on a day when less than 3 cruise ships are in port. Falls were great. Edwin tours was great. Little word of advice!

This is a wonderful experience but can be challenging. However, the guides are great about stopping to give breaks and helping as needed to slide down the waterfalls. Just understand that you are actually hiking up the mountain and will slide or jump off the waterfalls. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great overall experience as alternative to shore excursion purchased on-board. Easy to meet driver, beat the crowds to the waterfalls, and nice small group.

Excellent! If you are on Carnival, you will walk all the way out of the port to the main highway. Van will be on your left. Such a wonderful experience. Van was new and air-conditioned. Drive for about 15 minutes. Even though we chose 9 am, they messaged us 2 days before to say they would pick us up 45 min afternour cruise docked. So we ended up being picked up at 7:45. Though early, it was PERFECT to avoid the crowds. We were able to do 4 out of the 7 waterfalls due to low water levels, but this did not negatively affect the experience. Beautiful nature and refreshing water. So fun. The hike up to the waterfalls is about 35 minutes, mostly uphill but plenty of breaks. Our guides were kind and helpful. Felt like a small group tour even though there were about 25 of us there. After the activity, you will eat at the same locale. 1 bottle of water is provided before the hike, another at lunch. The food was delicious. Once finished, we went to a small plantation with cocoa, tobacco and guava plants. We watched cigars being hand rolled. Lovely day.
