U heeft de garantie mij altijd als archeoloog en geautoriseerde toeristengids te hebben. Behalve jij zullen er geen andere mensen op de tour zijn. De ervaring duurt 5 uur en is als volgt verdeeld: EERSTE DEEL: POMPEII: 2 uur durende rondleiding door Pompeii. U krijgt de gelegenheid om de schoonheden van Pompeii te bezoeken en te zien, zonder het gevoel te hebben terug te moeten keren om andere bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Je slaat de lange rijen bij de ingang over en hebt de skip-the-line al bij de hand. De voorrangsingang maakt je bezoek minder stressvol en je hebt de mogelijkheid om snel het toegangsticket te kopen en terug te gaan in de tijd naar 79 n.Chr. TWEEDE DEEL: 1 uur vrije tijd. Aan het einde van de tour wordt u naar het treinstation of naar uw auto gebracht en krijgt u de nodige informatie om naar de Herculaneum-site te gaan. U heeft niet het gevoel er alleen voor te staan, u wordt altijd geholpen. DEEL DRIE: 2 uur durende rondleiding door Herculaneum.

Aan het einde van het bezoek aan Pompeii heb je tijd om de archeologische vindplaats Herculaneum per trein te bereiken. Je wordt naar de trein begeleid en geholpen bij het kopen van het kaartje om naar Herculaneum te komen. Toegangskaarten zijn niet inbegrepen, maar dankzij het skip-the-line ticket kun je ze snel ter plaatse kopen. Bezoek aan het Archeologisch Park van Herculaneum.

Our tours of Pompei and Ercolano were fabulous! Imagine touring these sites with an archeologist who actually participated in excavation! Maria Grazia is an expert in her field and has a wealth of firsthand knowledge to share with her guests. This tour was a highlight of our visit to Italia. We highly recommend her tour. Eliana is a PhD archaeologist who specializes in ancient Roman history and works on-site in Pompeii, so she gave us a wonderful view of all the work that is being done and its historical context—they have projects planned out for decades! Note that we were a tough crowd, a family group comprised of hard-core ancient history nerds + a kid with special needs who was as interested in petting the many cats of Pompeii & Herculaneum as in checking out the history! Eliana handled us all with poise & aplomb, pivoting from the minutiae most of us were interested in, to other, more kid-friendly, topics as they came up. Pompeii + Herculaneum is a LOT to take in in one day, particularly in the blazing summer heat, but the climate is dry, so a hat and umbrella make it work and it is worth the effort, with Herculaneum a much smaller site and very different setting from Pompeii. Highly recommended!
