Dit geweldige avontuur neemt ons mee naar Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ in het bergachtige uiterste zuidwesten van Oeganda, waar je de mogelijkheid hebt om berggorilla's te volgen. De tour geeft je de kans om uit de luchtbel van het voertuig te stappen en met de lokale gids te wandelen terwijl je het platteland verkent via onze fairtrade-activiteit die de jeugd in deze Zuidwestelijke Oegandese gemeenschap ondersteunt. Je zult in staat zijn om te communiceren met de mensen en slapen in een eco-lodge met prachtig uitzicht op het Bwindi-bos, de Virunga-vulkanen en de Albertine-kloofvallei, het prachtige landschap dat voor altijd in je geheugen blijft.

AeroLink Vlucht naar Kisoro, wandelen en kanoën over Lake Mutanda U "vestigt" zich vervolgens in een boomstamkano voor 2-3 uur zacht ontspannen cruisen over het meer, genietend van het prachtige landschap. Na de lunch in een restaurant aan de oevers van het meer, gaat u te voet verder tot Rubuguri (9 km - 2/3 uur) waar u het voertuig ontmoet en nog 10 km naar de Lodge in Nkuringo rijdt (ongeveer 1 uur). Je kunt natuurlijk ook met de auto bij het meer worden opgehaald en helemaal tot aan de Lodge rijden.
Na het ontbijt, rond 7.45 uur, met lunchpakket en drinkwater, wordt u naar het National Park Head Quarters gebracht voor de briefing over de do's en don'ts terwijl u bij de gorilla's bent. Daarna ga je verder naar het bos voor de start van de eigenlijke gorillatracking.
Geniet van een ochtend na een stevig ontbijt van vogels kijken in Nombe Pocket Forest - het was onderdeel van het Bwindi Impenetrable National Park en het is nog steeds vrij ondoordringbaar, maar het was afgesneden omdat mensen meer land nodig hadden om op te leven en te cultiveren. Het kan te voet worden bereikt (ongeveer 1 uur te gaan en 2 uur om terug te komen) of per voertuig en het bezoek duurt ongeveer. 2 uur, afhankelijk van de interesse van gasten. Lunch in de lodge en om 14.00 uur vertrek naar Buniga Forest Trail Walk, een informatief project van USAID en de plaatselijke Batwa-gemeenschap. De Batwa-stam werd gedwongen hun huis in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park te verlaten in 1991 toen het werd uitgeroepen tot UNESCO-werelderfgoed alleen voor gorilla's. Ze leefden al duizenden jaren in het bos als nomadische jager-verzamelaars, in perfecte balans met de flora en fauna rondom. Verhuizen en plotseling leven in gemeenschappen met een compleet andere manier van leven is een enorme uitdaging gebleken. Ze overleven nu zo goed als ze kunnen en verdienen de kost om hun vorige leven in het bos en hun rijke erfgoed te verklaren. Voortzetting van de wandeling door de gemeenschap om de traditionele kruidkundige en de zwarte smid te bezoeken.
Vroeg ontbijt en transfer naar Kisoro Airstrip voor uw ochtend AeroLink-vlucht naar Entebbe. Einde services. Afhankelijk van uw vertrekvlucht geniet u van dagkamer / overnachting in Papyrus Guest House of wacht u op uw vertrekvlucht op de luchthaven.

Everything about this 5 day experience was top notch. Remmy was an incredible guide - great energy, good vibes, helpful, knowledgeable, & always kept us feeling safe. Lodges were beautiful with great service & of course the animals/wild life did not disappoint. Added some optional hikes/walks to keep us active. Incredible trip - definitely recommend Remmy & Nkuringo!!

The trip was unbelievable. The itinerary was thoughtfully packed with amazing activities and beautiful scenic drives that made travel time enjoyable. The gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences were truly once-in-a-lifetime moments that we will never forget. Our guide Remmy was the best tour guide we could have asked for during our trip to Uganda. He was always prompt, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He truly made the entire experience special. We felt comfortable with him right away, and by the end of the trip, it honestly felt like we were traveling with family. We spent a week being guided by Remmy across both Uganda and Rwanda to do a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda and a ‘normal’ gorilla experience in Rwanda (both of which are very worth it). We had the most incredible 5-day trip with Nkuringo Safaris to Bwindi National Park to see the gorillas: truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Highly recommended! I found Nkuringo safaris after doing a ton of research online, and the gorilla trekking was something my mom and I had been elated to add as the end of our trip after a week long safari in Tanzania (with a different provider). From first contact to last dropoff, the one word I would use to describe our time with Nkkuringo Safaris in Uganda was *SEAMLESS*. Incredible experience. Attentive to every detail, top level personalized to ensure you’re comfortable, safe, that any unforeseen events are resolved (like luggage arriving late, losing money, needing extra help during tracking ). Took care of everything since I arrived at the airport till I checked in at the end. Hotels were extra comfortable and instagrammable! Emma, my guide, made sure I had enough water, food, the right attire… more than I did! He even gave me a history lesson when I asked, and we talked music and discussed human nature. We laughed maybe too much. Excellent road trip partner. 100% recommended

This trip was AMAZING!! Moreen helped create a perfect itinerary, she was quick to respond and communicated everything clearly, and helped us when our flight was delayed so that we wouldn’t miss a minute of our trip. We also had the pleasure of working with Milton who was fantastic!
