Het ervaren team zal u adviseren over de optimale tijd voor het bekijken en fotograferen van de prachtige aquablauwe en opaalachtige kleuren van het Great Barrier Reef. Vluchten die tussen 9.30 en 14.30 uur worden georganiseerd, zijn altijd premium tijden om te vliegen omdat de zon zich in de beste hoek boven het rif bevindt. De gevlogen route gaat meestal over Green Island, Upolu Cay, Oyster, Arlington, Vlassof en Michaelmas Reefs, evenals uitzicht op Cape Grafton, False Cape, Double Island en de noordelijke stranden van Cairns, waaronder Palm Cove.

Het is een overtreding onder de Australische wet om vliegtuigen / helikopters boven hun wettelijke startgewicht te laten vliegen. Voordat u aan boord gaat, wordt u op de terminal gewogen. Als uw gewicht 5 kg / 11 lbs of meer bedraagt boven het gewicht dat u bij het boeken heeft opgegeven, behoudt Daintree Air zich het recht voor om de toegang tot de vlucht te weigeren en wordt er geen restitutie verleend. Daintree Air zal zich inspannen om alle passagiers zo goed mogelijk tegemoet te komen. Het maximale toegestane passagiersgewicht zonder speciale individuele planning en organisatie is 115 kilo/253 lbs. Daintree Air is niet verplicht om te upgraden naar grotere vliegtuigen.

It was so excited experience. When I arrived early, they changed my flight to one leaving an hour earlier. In addition I was soaking wet from the rain when someone kindly spoke to me and lent me a towel.Thank you very much !

This is an excellent option if you want to have either an introduction of the main reefs around Cairns or just recap the reefs you visited during your vacation. I used this as a closing for my visit to Cairns. You get a real appreciation on the size of the reefs since you rarely see the entire things when on a boat.
Excellent tour! Daintree Air Services were fantastic. The weather on the day of our planned tour was unpleasant. The staff kept us fully informed of conditions and would not take off unless conditions were good and our viewing experience could be guaranteed. Fortunately (just as we were about to accept the offer to cancel) the skies cleared and we were able to head out. What an incredible experience. the views of the city and the reef were exceptional and well worth the time and expense. Not to mention the thrill of taking off and landing at an international airport by the pilot's side. And after the flight they shuttled us back to our hotel for a very small charge. I was on this excursion by myself. All seven passengers had a window seat our captain/guide was accommodating to make sure each side got great picture opportunities. Our weather was clear and we saw six reefs. I have already recommended this to my friends.
Today, we had the privilege of flying over the Great Barrier Reef with Daintree Air Services, and it was quite possibly the best $478 we have ever spent. From the moment we arrived to the second we climbed into the aircraft and soared above the reef, the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. The staff were relaxed, friendly, and professional, and most importantly, they delivered exactly what was promised on the itinerary. I was lucky enough to sit in the co-pilot seat, which gave me spectacular views from both the front of the plane and the side window. Speaking of the windows, they were large enough to take in incredible views of the reef below, and the pilot provided informative commentary throughout the flight. Another nice little addition was that they also offered a drop-off service back to our resort for a small fee, which made the whole experience even easier and more convenient. We loved swimming in the ocean around the reef, but seeing it from above was an entirely different experience. It added a whole new dimension to our appreciation of this natural wonder, and we would 100% recommend Daintree Air Services for this flight experience.

We booked this trip through the Viator App and the whole booking process was easy to follow with subsequent communications being excellent. This is a must do trip while in Cairns as the Great Barrier Reef is quite simply stunning from the air with all the different aspects and colours it has to offer. Prior to the flight the safety protocols were clearly explained and the required equipment provided. The pilot of the plane was very informative about the reef and made sure that everybody got good views of various parts of it. I would highly recommend this trip to anybody as seeing the reef from the air is an incredible experience, this was a bucket list thing of mine and it was everything and more that I thought it would be.
