Onze tour vindt plaats op ongeveer 25 km van de monding van de Douro, ver van het massatoerisme en de gebruikelijke cruises. We bevinden ons in een veel exclusiever deel van Rio met een natuurlijk in plaats van stedelijk landschap. Onze autotransfer duurt ongeveer 20 tot 30 minuten. Eenmaal in de jachthaven zult u zich realiseren dat u een toeristische ervaring zult hebben, maar geen toeristische! Onze wens is om u een reis te bieden die vergelijkbaar is met die van de lokale bevolking met uw eigen boot. Geniet van een paar uur in direct contact met de rivier en haar oevers vol natuur waar er niet eens een weg aan de horizon is!!! Het klimaat is warmer en minder winderig. Aan boord heeft u tijd om te ontspannen en te genieten van een selectie van "Tapas" met regionale producten van hoge kwaliteit, vergezeld van de beste wijnen uit het noorden van Portugal, waaronder de beroemde variëteit "Alvarinho". We hebben ongeveer 30 km langs de rivier gevaren! Wij maken deze ervaring uniek! Cruisen. Vrije tijd. Gastronomie. Ontdek de echte Douro!

Reisroute
Stroomopwaarts van de Dam beginnen we onze reis. Dit authentieke staaltje techniek werd in 1986 in gebruik genomen. De beweegbare dam bestaat uit negen pijlers van 25,5 meter hoog!
Stop (ankerplaats) in dit idyllische landschap dat alleen per boot bereikbaar is, waar u kunt genieten van een lichte maaltijd met wijnproeverijen uit de Douro-regio. Tijd om te duiken en zwemmen in kalm, warm en schoon water. Er is nog tijd om onze "Stand-Up-Paddle" uit te proberen en de oevers en ondiepe wateren van de rivier te verkennen waar de boot niet kan komen. Geniet van de natuur in de stilte van het kalme water en laat je verrassen door de aanwezigheid van enkele vogels, waaronder de prachtige "Garça Real".
Praia da Lomba is een natuurlijke badplaats die lijkt op een klein eiland. Hier ontdekt u een landelijk landschap dat typisch is voor de regio, met houten huizen op de heuvel en andere eenvoudige gebouwen die de stad kenmerken. U kunt nog een keer zwemmen of gewoon zonnebaden in een van de solariums van de boot en genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht op Rio met zijn unieke en majestueuze groene landschap.
Tijdens de tour hebben we ongeveer anderhalf uur aan navigatie besteed. Terwijl we varen, krijgt u de gelegenheid om te fotograferen en u te laten inspireren door het natuurlijke landschap, soms beschilderd met kleine dorpjes. Mocht het in je opkomen om het moment vast te leggen met muziek naar jouw wens, dan kun je jouw playlist aansluiten op ons geluidssysteem. En geniet nu nog een keer van een toast met een van onze portwijnselecties!
In deze prachtige en pittoreske jachthaven begint en eindigt onze boottocht. Je hebt tijd om te genieten van een droge witte haven terwijl je aan boord van ons schip bent. Je vindt er vooral locals die pleziervaartuigen bezitten en die samen met hun familie en vrienden net als jij een heerlijke vakantiedag beleven! We zijn nog lang niet uitgeput door het rivierverkeer en het massatoerisme! Standaardvoorzieningen zoals een cafetaria en sanitair vindt u in de jachthavenfaciliteiten.

We had an absolutely fantastic Douro river cruise with our skipper, Seraphem, and his daughter. The boat was spotless and beautifully maintained, and they were both such warm and delightful hosts—informative, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about sharing the Douro with us. We stopped in a lovely cove where we swam, tried out a paddle board, and relaxed before enjoying a delicious spread of lunch with white port, beers, crisp white wine, fresh fruit, cheeses, and cured meats. It was perfect. Seraphem went above and beyond by recommending excellent restaurants in the region and even introducing us to his brother’s wine from their family farm—a special touch that made the experience unforgettable. This was a highlight of our trip and we cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

Fabulous half-day trip on the Douro. Serafim could not have been more friendly or helpful. Luxurious and impressive boat. Great swimming spot for paddle-boarding and lunch. Wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip next time we are in Porto.

Just amazing. This couple are so fun and welcoming. They made the whole trip outstanding and were super relaxed. We listened to music, swam in the lagoon/tributary, ate, drank and had so much fun. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Our family of 6, mum, dad and 4 children in their twenties had a great day swimming and paddle boarding on a beautiful stretch of the Douro. Serafim and Elisa were wonderful hosts providing a lovely lunch and some very nice wines and ports through the day on their beautiful yacht. Exceptional boat trip. The tributary of the Douro where we snorkeled and enjoyed lunch on board was of unique beauty. Very pleasant to try stand-up-paddle and lie down in the sun. Very attentive and competent crew. The boat is beautiful and comfortable. We highly recommend it.
