4 - Uur Eco Mountain Safari Tour met elektrische auto op Tenerife

Twizy Safari is een tour van 4 uur. Let op: we zijn in de buurt van Puerto de Santiago, op 110 km van Santa Cruz, de hoofdstad. We rijden met 100% elektrische auto’s de bergen in tot 1200 meter hoog. Tijdens onze reis maken we een paar stops. Het ligt buiten de toeristische zone, over cultuur, geologie, verbazingwekkende landschappen met een unieke en leuke rijervaring. De prijs is inclusief frisdrank, een lokale koffiespecialiteit en bezoek (indien open) een pottenbakkerij. We rijden over de lavavelden van El Chinyero en bezoeken een originele bananenplantage. Uiteindelijk rollen we over rustige bergwegen naar beneden en bekijken we de ongerepte dorpen van Tenerife van dichtbij. Kracht van de Twizy: raceautogevoel en superstil. Perfecte balans. Airbag- en veiligheidsgordelbescherming. Geen ramen, koele frisse berglucht, maar geen helm en geen zonnebrand. Maximaal 10 gasten, dus het is nooit druk. De perfecte keuze voor families en vrienden.

We stoppen in een prachtig traditioneel Canarisch café waar we onze gasten uitnodigen voor een lokale koffiespecialiteit en koude frisdranken. Terwijl ze genieten van hun drankje, vertellen we een complex cv over de geschiedenis en cultuur van de eilanden.
Een wandeling rond het historische dorp Santiago del Teide. We bezoeken het centrum van het dorp om een goed begrip te krijgen van het leven buiten de kust.
We stoppen bij een gastronomische huisnijverheid die jam, chutneys en Canarische mojo-sauzen produceert. Klanten krijgen een uitgebreide uitleg over het productieproces terwijl ze door de keuken lopen en daarna hebben we een vrijblijvende proeverij van de producten.
We bezoeken een echte exportbananenplantage. Terwijl we lokale bananen proeven, lopen we tussen de planten door en geven we een volledige uitleg over hoe het op het eiland wordt verbouwd.

Fantastic way to see villages off the usual route. Dan the guide was absolutely brilliant. Very knowledgeable and full of interesting information. Communication is given throughout the trip via walkie talkies if you get stuck behind another vehicle on the road. The cars were really good fun to drive, can easily fit two adults, remember to take your driving licence with you. The location is up what seems to be an off road track but the info on where to go is very clear. I highly recommend this tour as part of your holiday, it won’t disappoint.
This tour was definitely worth it. Our guide was very friendly. He explained and showed us everything. The 4 hours went by quickly. It is a lot of fun to drive the Twizzy. This tour is highly recommended.

Fantastic short tour of Tenerife. The Twizy’s were great fun to drive and to get around. Dan was a brilliant guide. Very knowledgable and enthusiastic and happy to answer lots of questions. Highly recommended for those who want a more fun way to explore the less well known parts of Tenerife.

Such a fun and unique way to explore Tenerife while also learning about the island’s history and culture. We loved hearing about the banana farms, local pottery, and the hidden stories behind different areas of Tenerife. The views were incredible and the whole experience felt really personal and enjoyable. Dan was amazing — so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Tenerife, which made the tour even better.
My family of 5 loved our time touring Tenerife with Dan! What a fun way to see the island. We learned so much about the island's terrain and culture, and enjoyed touring the banana farm as well as our stop at the cafe to try the delicious Barraquito! Dan was very knowledgeable and took us on a beautiful ride through Tenerife's windy roads. Great way to see parts of the island and my teenage kids loved it!
An original and particularly informative experience. Daniel is a very competent guide, his explanations are clear and exciting, both precise and taking a step back to better understand. The Twizy tour goes through a banana grove, remote villages, lava fields, etc. Perfect to get to know this fascinating island!
I picked this excursion because my 13 yr old son wanted to ride in a twizy. But, it ended up being our favorite one in Tenerife. The cars were super easy & fun to drive plus we covered a lot of ground in the time we were together. Our guide Dan was extremely knowledgable on every aspect of the tour & we learned a lot about the history of the island & its native people which was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour!!
Excellent “safari” with Dan. He is so knowledgeable. He discussed Tenerife’s history, geography, culture & people with great detail & is so engaging. The Twizy cars themselves are great fun whizzing through small villages & on both main & tiny winding roads. All the while Dan communicated via walkie talkies in the cars pointing out items of interest & ensuring our safety at all times, reading the roads & advising us of where to go & when it was safe to do so. Perfecto !
