Wonderful once in a lifetime experience. Jhony was the perfect guide for this trip. It was difficult but he made it fun and most importantly made the whole group feel like a family. We traveled with two ladies from Argentina who didn’t know English and he was able to mediate all of our conversations and now we have friends for the rest of our life. The trek itself was challenging but doable if you kept a slow and steady pace. Once you get to the top of the Salkantay pass it is hard not to get emotional because you realize what you just accomplished. The 4th day ending at Machu Picchu was magical. I can’t recommend this Trek enough and if you have an option for a guide pick Jhony Flats, you will not be disappointed.

Jhony was an awesome guide over the four days, helping to navigate the difficult trek and kept spirits high when the going got hard. His enthusiasm for the land, hiking, and patrimony of the region was exactly what you would hope for on such a trek. The staff and other support functions are well thought through and pleasant all the way through.

Such an incredible experience with Jhony our guide. He treated us like family and took care of us. Made sure we had fun but also would be managing the trek at the right pace. The trek was even more incredible that I thought it would be. We were 4 people and we all had headaches because of the altitude but it went away after. It is definitely a challenging hike but such beautiful landscapes.

We had a wonderful trip with Elias and Jimmy. They both were so accomodating and their hospitality was second to none. They made sure we were well looked after at all points of the day, and had good chats and banter with the group even though English was their second language. We had really great meals when the food was fresh and the veges and fruit were plentiful. We were a bit guttered that there was no jacuzzi as advertised and we didn’t make it to the springs but it didn’t dampen the trip too much. The hot water bottles on the first night were the best touch as it was incredibly cold at first camp.

An amazing experience! Me and my partner were lucky enough to have Lizandro as our tour guide who was just lovely, happy, helpful, patient and overall brilliant. The tour itself was great with amazing food and the chef was lovely too. It’s early starts and long walking days(I personally think you need to be quite fit to do it and train). But you are able to get early nights and relaxed evenings. I’d recommend bringing lots of cash. If or maybe when we do this again I’d definitely go with this company and ask for Lizandro! I’d say the price is good with amazing accommodation, 3 meals, repose there and back, and circuit 2 of Machu Picchu.

Me and my partner had the best time doing the salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. All of the accommodation exceeded our expectations, with comfortable, clean rooms and hot showers! Our chef, Matias, cooked something different everyday and it was all fresh and delicious. Our guide Lisandro was very friendly, professional, and fun to be with. He also really looked after me when I was unwell. We will remeber this trip forever. Thank you!!

I traveled with a friend to Peru and we hired the 5-day tour to Machu Picchu via Salkantay. Our guide was Elías Usca. He and his group were essential to reach our destination. Elías provided us with constant information about the different sites we visited and always had an excellent attitude. The food was delicious, varied, and abundant. The accommodation was very comfortable, with good hot showers and comfortable beds to recover. The trip is beautiful, but physically intense, and without their help, it would have been impossible. Thank you :)
