Islay produceert al meer dan 200 jaar de beste smoky malt-whisky's van Schotland en vormt de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor whiskyliefhebbers en beginners. Geniet van drie nachten accommodatie in de 4-sterren Bowmore Distillery Cottages en ontdek tot zes verschillende distilleerderijen, waaronder grote namen zoals Laphroaig en Ardbeg, met een Gids. Aantallen zijn beperkt tot 16 tijdens deze tour met kleine groepen, zodat u het beste van Islay ziet met persoonlijke aandacht met uw Gids.

- Tijdens deze tour verblijft u 3 nachten in de prachtige Bowmore Distillery Cottages.De huisjes hebben tussen de drie en zes aparte slaapkamers, elk met een eigen badkamer. Vanwege het gedeelde karakter van de accommodatie hebben individuele slaapkamers geen afsluitbare deuren. De keuken en loungefaciliteiten worden gedeeld met andere passagiers en er worden basisingrediënten voor zelfbedieningsontbijt verstrekt. Uitgebreid Schots ontbijt is beschikbaar in de nabijgelegen hotels als u dat wenst, ter plaatse te betalen. *Vanaf 16 maart 2026 zijn er opties voor warm ontbijt beschikbaar in het Harbour Pension in plaats van de vorige optie voor 'zelfbedieningsontbijt'.
- Drie of meer personen boeken? We bieden plaats aan maximaal 8 gasten in een groep, voeg elke vereiste kamer apart toe aan uw mandje
- Bij het boeken van drie of meer personen, zal worden geprobeerd om een combinatie van geschikte kamers (double / twin / familie) te boeken. Voorkeuren dienen tijdens het reserveren te worden vermeld in het gedeelte Speciale Verzoeken
- Passagiers zijn beperkt tot 20 kg bagage (44lbs); een middelgrote koffer / tas vergelijkbaar met standaard handbagage van de luchtvaartmaatschappij (ongeveer 55 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm / 22in x 17in x 10 inch) plus een kleine tas voor persoonlijke spullen aan boord.
- Maandag vertrekken bieden de kans om meer whiskyproductie te zien, omdat alle distilleerderijen op weekdagen in bedrijf zijn.
- Route- en distilleerderijbezoeken zijn onderhevig aan verandering.
- *Laphroaig (maandagvertrek): vervangen door Lagavulin; museum/winkel/bar nog steeds toegankelijk.
- *Als de tour op een vrijdag vertrekt, kunnen we niet stoppen bij Kilchoman Distillery. De tour zal een flexibeler reisschema volgen, waarbij u stopt bij andere distilleerderijen voor een korter winkelbezoek.
- *Houd er rekening mee dat Ardbeg Distillery van 11 juni tot 13 juli in het Stille Seizoen is. Productietours zijn niet beschikbaar; wel kunnen gasten genieten van een begeleide proeverij met 5 drams.
- *Houd er rekening mee dat van 8 juli tot 13 september Laphroaig Distillery zijn Stille Seizoen zal vieren. Tijdens deze periode zijn distilleerderijtours niet beschikbaar. In plaats daarvan is uw bezoek inclusief toegang tot het museum, een rondleiding en een proeverij van twee drammen.
- *Houd er rekening mee dat Kilchoman Distillery zijn Stille Seizoen zal vieren van 20 juli tot 16 augustus. Tijdens deze periode is uw bezoek inclusief een proeverij van 12.00 uur (2 drams), gevolgd door een lunch op eigen kosten. Houd er ook rekening mee dat Kilchoman Distillery niet beschikbaar is op 30 juli, dus in plaats daarvan is een bezoek aan Caol Ila Distillery geregeld.

Just finished the 4 day whisky tour with Rabbies and it was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide Billy made the whole trip. He was genuinely one of the best guides I've had. He was knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about whisky and Scottish history, and he made sure everyone in the group felt looked after the entire time. The Islay distillery lineup was incredible. We visited Bowmore, Kilchoman, Bunnahabhain, Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Bruichladdich, and Caol Ila, and each one had its own character and story. Billy timed the visits perfectly and gave brilliant context before each tasting, so even the less experienced whisky drinkers in the group came away with a real appreciation for the different styles, from Laphroaig and Lagavulin's peaty punch to the lighter, more delicate drams at Bruichladdich and Bunnahabhain. Billy's commentary on the drives between distilleries made the journey just as enjoyable as the stops themselves, full of stories, local insight, and great recommendations for food along the way. Everything ran smoothly, the group size felt just right, and he went out of his way to make sure the trip suited everyone's interests. Can't recommend this tour enough. Ask for Billy if you can! Would absolutely book with Rabbies again.
We just returned from Scotland and took the Rabbie's Islay and the Whiskey 4 day tour with the marvelous Billy! Wow! A dram to start and end the tour and two full days on Islay visiting or tasting 9 distilleries! What is not to like?!?!?!? Billy absolutely made the trip for us, his love and knowledge of whisky was amazing and provided us with lots of laughs and splashes!
What an amazing trip to visit and understand key distilleries on Islay by the end of the trip you will have a great er appreciation of Islay whiskies as well as the entire process to making g Scotch whiskey. Fabulous accommodation at Bowmore cottages. Andy was our driver and was fantastic. Yes it expensive but the trip is worth it on the 1st night you need to eat on the ferry as your arrival is late.
Simply incredible experience. I did this with Rabbies Tours (booked through trip advisor) and Adam was an excellent driver, story teller, tour guide and was very insightful for all things whiskey and Scotland (he knows his stuff). The days were packed with great tours and whiskey, the accommodation was just perfect and I really have nothing to complain about I highly recommend this to anyone!
Fantastic tour, a must do for whisky lovers, Al was our driver and guide, excelent person, he knows each secret of Islay and each stop we made on the route he talked about the history of each Don’t miss this tour!!!

Wow, what a great trip. Our guide/driver was William D. Great guy, very informative and fun. A few wee stories thrown in for good measure. He knew the Island well and was well versed in Islay whisky and the distilleries. Thoroughly recommended Well done Rabbies
My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to this trip, and I am pleased to say it did not disappoint! Our guide Andy Unsworth was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable, made sure we were well taken care of, and made sure we got to see everything we wanted to. Andy took the time to share plenty of stories and information with us, and tolerated our many, many questions too - he really knew his stuff. On top of all that, he somehow guaranteed two full days of sunshine on Islay, the most impressive feat of all! As for a quick note on the whisky, some of the distilleries were in silent season but still offered us great tours / tastings - in particular Bowmore (Lynn), Kilchoman (Alex), Ardbeg (Ron), and Laphroaig (Michaela) offered us great tours. Lastly, we were fortunate enough to make some good friends along the way, which always adds to the experience - shout out to Michael & Kai from Hamburg, Paul from Essex, and Cameron & Madelyn from Baltimore! I couldn't recommend this tour (especially with Andy) enough - definitely go if you get the chance!
Lagavoulin tasting direct from the casks and Adam's good stories as we went trough the highlands. A memory for life.
This was one of the best rours we have ever taken. From stops in places like Oban to the fantastic distilleries of Islay. Adam was a truly amazing tour guide from history,storiy telling, whisky knowledge, music and more. The group we travelled with was also fantastic. Could not recommend this tour mre highly.
