Our drivers were not only skilled and safe on the road, but also warm, funny, and genuinely connected with us — it felt like traveling with friends rather than guides. The group dynamic was fantastic, the itinerary well-balanced, and the food along the way exceeded expectations: authentic, varied, and always included in the price with no hidden surprises. The landscapes were breathtaking — endless mountains, winding passes, and snapshots of local life that left us both humbled and inspired. Seeing the villages and the rhythm of daily life up close gave us a true sense of Vietnam beyond the tourist path. Payment was simple and transparent (a small deposit upfront, the rest before or after the trip), which gave us total peace of mind. After the tour, we even had tea with the owner — a sincere, thoughtful person who shared stories, insights, and practical advice about life in Vietnam and travel in general. All in all, an incredibly well-run and heartfelt operation that delivers real value for money. If you’re considering doing the Ha Giang Loop — stop hesitating and just go for it. This was one of the absolute highlights of our entire Vietnam journey.

We did a 4 day private bike tour with 7 people led by guide Hanh and 6 other drivers. The tour was well organized and the restaurants/homestays visited were fantastic. Being in a smaller group allowed us to go to quieter less torusty locations. Even if you are confident on a moped I would recommend having a driver as the road conditions would be very challenging and it would be much harder to appreciate the scenery.

We booked the 4 day Ha Giang loop per motorcycle through Vision Travel. Communication via WhatsApp was quick and clear. Transportation to and from Ha Giang was arranged for us and on time. Because no one else booked the loop at the same time, we ended up getting a private tour. Our guide (and also my driver) was kind and enthousiastic and took care of everything we could possibly want, including getting the motorbike fixed when we had a flat tire. Would definitely recommend this over the big groups that also take the loop.

We had THE BEST time doing the 4 day loop. We had excellent communication with Alex via WhatsAp from Australia who tailored our tour for our needs. We had a private tour with 2 east riders, Aly and Cho. Wow, these guys were sensational. They are all about safety first (which is a must) helping us with our safety armour. They took us everywhere. Up and down the gorgeous mountains. Through the back streets of local villages. They were so helpful with my partner when we visited the cave (felt like a thousand steps).. they were both so patient and very kind. We had amazing home stays and we tried different foods. We stopped regularly at jaw dropping look outs, and we travelled some pretty dicey roads full of rocky gravel. We felt safe at all times. My partner and I ride motorbikes in Australia, and I have to say, these boys know how to ride well!!! And those scooters are well equipped for anything thrown at them. A magical experience you must do in northern Vietnam. It was the highlight of our trip. Not to be missed.

The last four days have been amazing. The scenery was beyond epic. The children smiling and waving as we passed by was just joyful. The food was very tasty, plentiful and varied. The accommodation was very good and in some amazing locations. And our guides were fantastic. They looked after us with such care and understanding from start to finish. They new lots of more remote routes so we didn’t feel like we were on the tourist conveyor belt and stopped many, many times for refreshments and rest breaks. There was no rush at any time to get anywhere. We all felt so safe despite not being motorbike riders ourselves. If I good give more than 5 stars I would.

I have lived and worked in Vietnam for 2 years. I have traveled extensively in Vietnam and booked many tours, and Vision Travel is one of the best local companies I know.
