Vimotions biedt u de kans om te genieten van een fantastische wandeltocht door een van de beschermde gebieden die het recente en historische vulkanisme van Lanzarote vertegenwoordigen. Dit gebied is het natuurpark van Los Volcanes en de ruimte is bedekt met de lava van de uitbarstingen die daar plaatsvonden in 1730-36 en 1824. Je gaat op een zeer verhelderende route waarbij je de wondere wereld van vulkanen kunt ontdekken terwijl je over lavastromen loopt of naar vulkanische kegels gaat waar je spectaculaire kraters, lavatunnels, lavameren, enz. Kunt vinden. Alle vulkanische structuren zijn goed geconserveerd vanwege het dorre weer van Lanzarote, waardoor de evolutie van de vegetatie erg traag verloopt. Het resultaat hiervan is een landschap dat lijkt op een groot openluchtmuseum van vulkanologie. Het meest interessante aspect is dat je, als bezoeker en met de hulp van je gids, zult begrijpen hoe de langzame maar constante hergeboorte van het leven op de lava plaatsvindt. We were lucky enough to have an excellent guide! Nadine, passionate, made us discover the volcano park with great enthusiasm. She masters her subject perfectly and remains very attentive to everyone’s questions, despite a group a little too many (22 people...).
Very interesting walk across varied lava fields, around volcanos and into one. The walk is 3 hours and mostly flat. Our guides were knowledgeable and engaging. The 3 hours flew by, even though we had wind and rain for most of the walk! The 10 minute stop for a snack was enough to keep the energy levels up. Pick up was on time from our hotel (9am) followed by a number of other pick ups on route, we were at the starting point around 9.45, then walk started about 10. Be aware there are no toilet facilities at any point on this trip (not a criticism but for information).
You have to be relatively fit, especially if it is windy. Fabulous scenery and the guide was really good.

Most tours of the island have to be by coach but a hiking tour gives you chance to take a look at the little details of why the landscape is like it is. The guide was very friendly and prompt and clearly loved the island. Well worth doing if you like to know the ins and outs 🤓

Unique experience walking in the volcanic region.Some great stories about locals and the nature. But the walk is a bit long (for me personally) especially when its super windy

In my review the most authentic Canary Island. The explosion of volcanoes gave lunar landscapes. Resorts without tall buildings.
