Van de 5 rondleidingen die ik aanbied, neem ik je vandaag mee naar Châteauneuf-du-Pape en de wereldberoemde wijnen daar. Ik neem je mee naar twee verschillende plekken die tot de meest gerenommeerde behoren. U proeft minstens 6 verschillende wijnen, waaronder 2 witte (witte wijnen vertegenwoordigen slechts 8% van de productie van Châteauneuf-du-Pape en zijn in het buitenland zeer moeilijk te vinden). U geeft ook uw keuze aan voor de laatste stop van 5 minuten: ofwel bij het dorpskasteel, waarvan de ruïnes getuigen van een rijke middeleeuwse geschiedenis, ofwel in een wijngaard vol met kiezels, het iconische terroir van Châteauneuf-du-Pape. 30 minuten rijden van Avignon Proeven in het eerste landgoed van Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Het is een van de oudste in de appellatie, meer dan 300 jaar geleden gebouwd. Daar proeft u de beroemde rode wijnen van Châteauneuf-du-Pape, maar ook de witte wijnen die slechts 5% van de productie vertegenwoordigen. Deze kelder heeft ervoor gekozen om de traditionele blend van Châteauneuf-du-Pape te behouden, namelijk de 13 druivensoorten van de appellatie (rood en wit) in de rode wijnen, en de 6 witte druivensoorten in de witte wijnen. Duur: ongeveer 1 uur. Ga dan naar een ander historisch landgoed in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, een van de grootste in de appellatie. U zult ook de rode wijnen en witte wijnen van Châteauneuf-du-Pape proberen, maar dan met een modernere blend samengesteld uit de belangrijkste druivensoorten van de appellatie (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre). We had a great wine tasting experience. Our guide was prompt, friendly, and professional. He had a good working knowledge of the region and selected excellent chateaux for the tastings. He was clearly well received by the staff at the wineries as well. Overall, it was an excellent 3 hour wine tour.
Our guide Arnaud was fantastic! He was local and had a great relationship with the wineries. Both wineries were great. Lots of tastings at the first winery and good sample sizes. The second winery had fewer tastings and smaller sample sizes. Overall great tour and fantastic guide in a true "bucket list" region for any wine lover.

Our guide met us outside the Hotel Bistro and drove us the 30 minutes to Chauteau Neuf du Pape to visit the first vineyard. All the while, he shared the history of the places we were going to see that afternoon. The locations are stunning! Loved the history and bought the wine. You won’t be sorry.
