Geniet van een tocht van een halve dag met een wandeling van 3 uur voor beginners en gezinnen in de beroemde Wachau-vallei van Oostenrijk, die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat vanwege zijn architecturale en landbouwgeschiedenis. Dit is een gemakkelijke route, maar het is nog steeds een wandeling met een hoogteverschil van 200 meter!

Hier bieden we een grotendeels comfortabele rondwandeling in de Wachau, drie korte beklimmingen leiden ons naar de uitkijkpunten. Met het bekende dorp Spitz als uitgangspunt leidt het pad ons door terrasvormige landschappen met druivenranken en fruitbomen naar de legendarische "Rode Poort", waar we een prachtig uitzicht hebben op Spitz, de Duizend-Jaar Berg, de Donau en de ruïne Hinterhaus. We zullen achteraf al deze plaatsen bezoeken. Het hoogtepunt van de tour is de ruïne Hinterhaus, een avontuurlijk kasteel uit de 13e eeuw. Dit is een gemakkelijke route, maar het is nog steeds een wandeling met een hoogteverschil van 200 meter! Wandeltijd: 3 uur | Hoogteverschil: 200 meter

- Hulpdieren toegestaan
- Kinderen moeten bij een volwassene op schoot zitten
- Er zijn speciale kinderzitjes beschikbaar

- Werkt in alle weersomstandigheden, kleed je goed aan! Alleen als het weer gevaarlijk is voor het leven en de ledematen, hebben we het recht om een andere (als gelijke) tour te kiezen. Als het niet mogelijk is om het gevaar te vermijden, annuleren we de tour kosteloos
- Het gebruik van bergschoenen wordt sterk aanbevolen
- In de winter is soms extra uitrusting (sneeuwkettingen, sneeuwschoenen) nodig. We zullen u hierover informeren!
- Vanwege ongelijke oppervlakken is deze tour niet mogelijk voor mensen met een handicap of met een rolstoel

Great host, organized pickup, day plan, etc. Very knowledgeable about all things: history, geography, agriculture, etc. Very good hike leader, pace was set appropriate for us. Trails each provided great views & rewards for the climb. Hiking thru the vineyards & then above was amazing! He was prepared & conscious of our safety at all times. He even took pic of US & points of interest & the scenary. Then forwarded to me via Dropbox. He made sure we didn't miss any of the views. Good car & good driver as well. Pickup & dropoff as planned.

An Excellent hike through beautiful rolling hills with wonderful vistas of the Danube valley, picturesque towns with vineyards and ruins of castles. The guide was superb adjusting the pace to our needs and making sure we experienced all the hike offered.

Michael was an excellent guide. Provided umbrellas since it was raining. It was a fun day hiking around the vineyards and up to the castle. I would highly recommend this hike. Michael was knowledgeable about the history of the area. We had a nice stop at the end for a snack. Great day!!!!

This was a great hike that Michael took us on! Michael is very communicative via text and email. Because we wanted to spend more time in Spitz he reconfigured our hike to meet our needs and it was amazing. This whole valley is a Unesco world heritage site and when we got there we understood why! It is truly picturesque as you walk through vineyards to view the city from above. Micheal picked us up from the meeting point (train station) right on time and we had ample time to walk around Spitz and truly enjoyed driving through the other towns of the valley. Michael took lots of pictures for us which he sent to us after we got home. They were great! Great experience!
