Ontdek het verborgen verhaal van Tokio op twee wielen. Tokio is een stad gebouwd op lagen van geschiedenis, waar de echo's van de Edo-periode nog steeds resoneren onder de neonlichten. Deze 3 uur durende begeleide fietstour is ontworpen voor reizigers die meer willen dan alleen ansichtkaarten bekijken - het is voor degenen die de ziel van de stad willen begrijpen. Vanuit de historische rivierpoorten van Yanagibashi fietsen we door de tijd. Je ontdekt de veerkracht van Ryogoku, bent getuige van de tijdloze energie van Asakusa, ademt de grootse natuur van Ueno in en decodeert de snelle evolutie van Akihabara van een elektronicahub naar een subcultuurfenomeen. We vermijden de toeristische valstrikken en rijden door de achterstraatjes, delen diepe historische inzichten, architecturale verschuivingen en de stedelijke legendes die het moderne Tokio hebben gevormd. Yanagibashi (De geheime poort naar Edo) Onze reis begint bij Yanagibashi, een historische rivierpoort waar de Kanda en Sumida rivieren samenkomen. Ooit een glamoureuze en exclusieve wijk, bevat dit gebied de geheimen van hoe het vroege watertransportsysteem van Tokio zijn cultuur en nachtleven heeft gevormd. We zetten hier het podium voor de tour, waarbij we terugstappen in de schaduw van het oude Edo.
Ryogoku (Sumo Legends & Urban Rebirth) Vervolgens fietsen we naar Ryogoku, het hart van de Sumo cultuur. Maar er is meer in dit district dan gigantische worstelaars. We zullen ontdekken hoe een eeuwenoude sport verbonden aan heilige rituelen hier zijn permanente thuis vond, en hoe een verwoestende historische ramp de stedelijke kaart en brugarchitectuur van Tokio volledig veranderde.
Asakusa (De Tijdloze Poort) Rijdend langs de rivier komen we langs opvallende moderne bezienswaardigheden voordat we een glimp opvangen van Kaminarimon, de majestueuze poort van het oudste tempelcentrum van Tokio. We laten u kennismaken met de geest van dit bruisende gebied en geven u de perfecte insider lay-out, zodat u later gemakkelijk kunt terugkeren om de diepe steegjes in uw eigen tempo te verkennen.
Ueno (Het Beschermbos van de Shogun) We koelen af door te fietsen door het weelderige, weidse groen van Ueno Park. Tegenwoordig is het een rustig openbaar park, maar het verbergt een dramatisch verleden. Ontdek waarom het shogunaat oorspronkelijk voor deze heuvel koos, hoe het diende om de stad te beschermen tegen boze geesten en hoe het transformeerde tijdens de snelle modernisering van Japan.
Akihabara (De Meester van de Evolutie) Onze laatste stop is Akihabara, een neon verlichte wijk die wereldwijd bekend staat om anime en subcultuur. Maar hoe is het hier gekomen? We zullen de fascinerende evolutie ervan volgen van een naoorlogse zwarte markt voor radio-onderdelen naar de "Electric Town" die we vandaag de dag zien. Het is een perfecte masterclass in Tokyo’s unieke vermogen om zichzelf voortdurend opnieuw uit te vinden.
Na Akihabara fietsen we terug naar onze winkel in Yanagibashi om de tour af te ronden. Maar daar hoeft je reis niet te eindigen! U kunt ontspannen en de ontdekkingen van de dag verwerken in het veganistische café direct in ons gebouw, of een ontspannen wandeling maken door de charmante, historische achterstraatjes van Yanagibashi om in uw eigen tempo te genieten van de lokale sfeer.

Seriously, this bike tour of the Kyoto countryside was incredible! The scenery was totally fantastic—such a gorgeous break from the city. But the real star was our guide, Yuki. Yuki was absolutely amazing, not only keeping us super safe and making sure we stayed on the right track, but also giving us cool info about everything we were seeing. If you book one tour in Kyoto, make it this one! Riding through the countryside was so relaxing, and the stop at the 7 Lucky Gods temple was a hidden gem we never would have found on our own. I enjoyed the country side views with the interesting local history. The ride was greatly helped by the battery powered bike (hills!). Collect all chops to complete your visit to Kameoka! My guide was a local who was friendly and engaging! He showed curiosity and exchanged ideas on culture with me.

I just finished a ride with Yuki through the back roads and temples around Kameoka. We visited 7 temples (one for each of the good luck gods), and saw amazing scenery. Any other tour leader would have canceled because of the rain, but Yuki was prepared and eager to dive into the raindrops with me.

Yuki San did an incredible tour! We biked on the country area and the road less traveled. He explained the culture of Kameoka, its local history and went to visit 7 shrines/temples to get the blessings from their deities. He was also very good in answering my questions and made the tour a very pleasant experience. It didnt felt tiring and was an easy rise bike all the way. He went above and beyond in helping me get my goushin for the temples. Its a tour I would highly recommend to escape the hustle of the cities and really see the country side of japan.

This was for real the best tour I've ever had. It was just the two of us and we really got to see both kyoto in a different way. Yuki has a great perspnality and loves to intro people to his hometown. Such a welcoming and practical guide. His English is near native. Super friendly and fu. To be around. We even decided to do a second tour with him the next day. Defienetly the best way to get to know kyoto!!

Yuki is born and raised in the area and speaks fluent English. The tour was the perfect blend of exercise, nature and seeing historic temples where there are ZERO crowds. If you want to explore the Japanese country side and get out in nature, this is a must do.

This was my first visit to Kameoka. I am involved in the management of this tour with this tour guide Yuki. This time I experienced a full-fledged cycling tour of Kameoka! I came as a guest and it was a great tour. You can feel the magnificence of "Kyoto in the forest" and the agricultural culture of Kyoto, and you can experience Kyoto which is not a tourist destination in the morning feeling relaxed. If you are visiting from overseas, I recommend you to try something like this Kameoka tour instead of Kyoto full of crowds! The concept of visiting the temples of Kameoka's "Seven Lucky Gods" was also very good. You'll come across a lot of narrow roads that can't be passed by car! It was easy to drive as there were almost no people or cars passing through, so I could experience the tour with peace of mind!
