Dit is een van de mooiste tochten hier op Zakynthos, omdat je hiermee de mooiste plekken in het nationale mariene park van Zakynthos kunt zien. Bewonder de Caretta Caretta-schildpadden, het Keri-grottengebied, de grote grot op het schildpaddeneiland en het betoverende zandstrand van het eilandje Marathonisi Comfortabele boten met een beperkt aantal gasten en zitplaatsen voor iedereen. Slechts 23 zitplaatsen, de boten hebben allemaal schaduwrijke zitplaatsen, een zonnedek achteraan en een glazen bodem. We raden u aan voor vertrek wat drankjes en snacks in Laganas te kopen. Op het eiland Marathonisi kun je snacks, drankjes en ijs kopen. Bij alle andere etappes van deze excursie is er geen mogelijkheid tot verfrissing.

Betoverend eilandje Marathonisi Stop om te zwemmen op het prachtige zandstrand. Marathonissi is een klein privé-eiland in de schildpaddenbaai, vlakbij het strand van Limni Kerì. Tot de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd het eiland bewoond, tegenwoordig heeft het geen inwoners of gebouwen. Het is nu een van de gebieden waar de CARETTA CARETTA-schildpadden gaan broeden.
De eerste stop is bij Keri Caves - Geweldige plek om te zwemmen Kerì-grotten, alleen toegankelijk over zee met privéboten of onze excursies, ontwikkelen zich langs het voorgebergte van de Marathia-kaap, in het zuidwestelijke deel van het eiland. Langs de kust zijn er veel grotten waarvan de ingangen nauwelijks voldoende zijn om erin te zwemmen, andere zijn breed genoeg om rechtstreeks met een boot naar binnen te gaan. Het is heel gemakkelijk om de grotten te bereiken die worden bekroond door kliffen waar de zee erg diep is en als zodanig bereikbaar.
Schildpadden spotten: Beginnend met het spotten van schildpadden net buiten de Laganasbaai De Caretta Caretta-schildpad is een exemplaar dat nog steeds in de Middellandse Zee leeft en het is mogelijk om hem daar te ontmoeten omdat hij paait langs de stranden van de Golf van Laganas. Ze kunnen aanzienlijke afmetingen hebben (de grootste weegt 140 kg en meet circa 120 cm, terwijl de kleinste 80 cm meet), maar desondanks zijn ze erg snel. Dankzij de grote voor- en de stijve achtervinnen kunnen ze 30 km/uur halen en zichzelf zo beschermen tegen mogelijke gevaren.

There was nothing special to see. Marathonisi beach was just an ordinary beach. Maybe, because of the very windy weather we could not see the alleged crystal clear waters. And if you want to see more interesting sea caves better prefer the ones at the north of the island, near the shipwreck beach.
Arrival was chaos. Huge queue, panics that there wasn't enough space on the boat. Another one thankfully arrived. Once on the boat, we were taken to the 1st stop. We were informed we would be there for 1.5 hours, which on the face of it was good, however in the blistering August heat with no shade, it wasn't ideal with young children. We then spent the last 30 mins going to see some caves a 5 minute dip off the boat and 5 mins to see the sea turtle. Both guides were great although the company's arrangements were chaotic. It was more like a ferry service We would recommend it but with the 3 hours fairly spaces out

It's nice that only 25 people go on the boat, that's what we pay close attention to. El Capitano, with his great Dagobert Duck swimsuit, had a smile on his face the whole ride. With great pleasure he showed us all the beautiful places. We had a great afternoon!
Beautiful experience 😍, the captain, besides being very nice, made us live an unforgettable experience, seeing the turtles and the excitement of the children was beautiful

We had a fantastic time on this excursion. The boat trip was well organised, amazing scenery around with crystal-clear water. Seeing the turtles in their natural habitat was the highlight of the trip, and visiting Marathonissi Island was a wonderful experience. There are places to grab a cocktail and ice cream on the island visit. The staff were amazing, friendly, professional and very efficient throughout the whole trip. They made everyone feel welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. One tip for future visitors: if you plan on swimming from the boat to the island and are not a confident swimmer, or you have children with you, it is worth bringing your own life jackets, armbands or floatation aids to make the experience more enjoyable and comfortable. Overall, this was an excellent excursion and great value for money. If you are visiting Zante, I would highly recommend this trip. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
