3 dagen - Madakaripura, Mt Bromo en Ijen vanuit Malang / Surabaya

Today we experienced the trip to the Mount Bromo where we got to experience the amazing sunrise view and the impressive crater. We needed to get up early but it was totally worth it! Big thanks to Smartway, and especially to our guide Henry and our Jeep driver Pak Wawan!

Visiting Bromo, Ijen, and the waterfall was an unforgettable experience. Bromo’s sunrise view was absolutely breathtaking — the sky turned golden as the volcano stood majestically in the distance. Ijen offered a completely different adventure with its mysterious blue flames and the turquoise crater lake, which looked almost unreal. The waterfall was a perfect touch of nature, peaceful and refreshing after all the hiking. Each place had its own magic, and together they made the trip truly special. I highly recommend this tour company — they were professional, well-organized, and made everything smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

We take the tour of the waterfalls and both volcanoes. The accommodations were excellent, the hotels we stayed in were very good and the experience of both volcanoes was incredible. The falls were amazing and the guides on all the excursions were very friendly and helpful.

Great company, everything is well organized, no problem anywhere. The driver picked us up in Malang from the Gesta, where we had originally spent the night off tour, and was with us until the very end (our final point was the port from where we returned to Bali). The car is comfortable, big, it was just the two of us. Visited the waterfall, Bromo and Ijen, stayed two nights in nice clean hotels. Breakfast was included. The driver, although he did not know much English, there were no problems with communication, you can communicate with an interpreter) was always ready to answer questions, prompt. The guys from the company were always in touch in the watsap and checking if everything was okay, if we were happy). We all enjoyed it😃 I recommend it!

DAY 1 Very memorable trip! The journey starts from Juanda airport in Surabaya. Smartway team picked us up with a smile and very friendly. I feel like meeting an old friend. Haha! Next, we traveled to Madakaripura waterfall. This waterfall is stunning! Smartway team's advised us to bring the essentials and leave the rest in the car keep by the driver and we rushed to the waterfall. You better bring a raincoat to go here because you will get wet from the falling! This is amazing experience! We found a very beautiful rainbow also a natural pool which is said to have claimed many victims. It is not recommended to swim here. The journey continued by staying in the village of Cemorolawang. The closest village to Mount Bromo. This village is very natural and beautiful. You will find very friendly local here! DAY 2 This is the day I’ve been waiting for: Bromo Sunrise Tour! Today's adventure begins with the Smartway team knocking on the door of the room at 01.30 AM. Yes! Very early, because they will take you to see the stunning sunrise view. SO BEAUTIFUL! We will also visit some spots in Bromo: the Dinosaur Valley, the crater of Mount Bromo volcano, temple and the desert! AMAZING! All activities above finished at 11.00 we were given 1 hour to get ready and take a shower. Next, a long journey of 6.5 hours to Ijen Crater. Very tiring but great day! DAY 3. After a night's sleep in a stunning hotel. Again, the Smartway team will knock the door in the middle of the night, 12.30 AM and take us on an adventure to Ijen Crater. We wanted to see the blue fire and only allowed it to be seen at 02.00-04.30 AM for that we left at midnight because it required a 2 hour hike. A very tiring day but the view of the star-studded sky, blue fire, sunrise and a crater that looks like a lake make us feel paid off. AMAZING! Thank you so much Nova, Misbah, Zaza and Fikri. This was my first trip to East Java with my family. Very lucky to meet the Smartway Indonesia team. Our guide Mas Amar is very kind, he is a friendly person and likes to photograph. So our trip photos are great! Our driver Mr. Arif is also a patient man, always offering us to eat together. A visit to the Madakaripura Falls was very effective. A very unforgettable experience, just this time I visited the wet waterfall. Hahaha. But dear to Bromo we were less fortunate because the weather was less so good. We didn't see sunrise because of the very thick fog. But other destinations like the Valley of the Dinosaurs and the Bromo Mountain Caves can be visited and we are satisfied! For Kawah Ijen, it's amazing! It's incredibly tired but it's all paid for! The Blue Fire and the crater view are incredibly beautiful. VERY GOOD! For those of you who want to travel on this package, I suggest getting well prepared. Your body should be ready because every day you will move from point A to B for 4-6 hours. Very tired, but satisfied! Because we can work with time. In addition, this package also includes accommodation and meals 1x daily. The accommodation is ok but no AC! The food is ok, Chinese and Indonesian food. You can ask a recommendation of an ok dining place to the guide. Overall I am very pleased and will definitely recommend this company to my friends.
