Ujung Kulon National Park, gelegen in de provincie Banten op het uiterste zuidwesten van het dichtbevolkte eiland Java, heeft het beste en meest uitgestrekte laaglandbos dat nog op het eiland te vinden is. Gelegen op ongeveer 300 km van de hoofdstad Jakarta en 140 km van Serang. Het nationale park strekt zich uit over het schiereiland Ujung Kulon, Peucang, de Handeuleum-eilanden en de bergen. De Javaanse neushoorns staan bekend als de grootste dieren op Java en de op een na grootste dieren in Indonesië, na Aziatische olifanten, de neushoorn is met uitsterven bedreigd. Naast de neushoorn is het Ujung Kulon National Park de thuisbasis van speciale dieren in het wild die je kunt zien in de ervaringen. Ujung Kulon National Park, een van de vulkanische eilandengroep Krakatoa in Lampung Sumatera, en het tourprogramma naar Ujung Kulon is beter voor langere reizen om wat activiteiten te ondernemen, kans om de Jungle-trektocht te bezoeken, kanoën op de wilde rivier en vogels kijken, niet alleen dat je kunt zwemmen, snorkelen, strand, cruise zonsondergang.

A very unique trip. Yeah, great. Full program so don't go if you want to relax. Up early every day. Not touristy. Vooe parts and disadvantages rainy season: Not too hot. Few to no mosquitoes. No other insects. However, more active and more land inward crocodiles, so canoeing did not take place and only 1 of the 5 snorkeling spots. All clothing became damp or wet and did not dry. Monkeys are bold and can open doors, but that's also a sign that it's really in nature. Clownfish, peacocks, buffalo, monkeys, roe deer, osprey/birds of prey and komodo dragon seen. Definitely recommended.

While we did not see any rhinos, which is nearly impossible as they are probably no more than 70 left on the whole peninsula, we had an amazing time nonetheless. We stayed on Peucang Island in a bamboo hut directly on the beach, saw dozens of deer, long-tail macaques, wild Javan bulls, flying foxes (bats), Varans, all kinds of birds including eagles and hornbills, a few sea turtles, huge cuttlefish and wonderful coral reefs with all the fish that live there. Our guide, Hendi, and the boat crew were amazing and gave us some privacy (we were alone on the boat with the crew so this really is as private as it gets) while also providing explanations, tours though the jungle and some of the best food we had in Indonesia so far! While the tour is quite expensive, absolutely everything (transport from and back to Jakarta, boat with crew, guide, 8 meals, 2 nights, all activities) is included. We really recommend this if you have a few days left when getting to Jakarta!
